an explanation
hey everyone,
jo here — it’s been quite some time since i’ve posted on here. just wanted to update you all on my life (though i reckon there’s not too much to tell you all). keep on reading under the cut if you want to :)
I finished GCSEs in June last year. Shortly afterwards, I slowly disappeared (stopped posting?) from the studyblr and studygram community, although I’m not sure if anyone has even noticed, honestly. The reasons why I left are unimportant now, but I felt like I didn’t enjoy posting about my studies anymore; I no longer had the passion for studying as I once did. And I felt terrible posting online about being motivated/productive when truly, I wasn’t.
I’ve now started IB, and my personal life hasn’t been the best since I’m often too busy to take care of myself. I find myself missing the studyblr community every once in a while, my heart void of the cozy community and friends I’ve made here. But I’ve refrained from coming back here (until now) so I wouldn’t waste my time when I could be studying.
As I write this I’m probably at one of my lowest points in the last few years (mentally). I’ve just gotten bad news with respect to school (Extended Essay allocations didn’t go as planned) and I’m still as much of a perfectionist about grades and assignments.
I think I miss the studyblr community. I might restart this account, but god knows I have no time for it. If anything, I might start blogging about my college application journey (#appblr?) since I’m halfway through junior year of high school now. Perhaps occasionally post studyspo pictures like I used to, too.
If we’ve once talked, whether on tumblr or instagram, and we’ve lost touch since, take this as my apology: it’s my fault we drifted apart. If you’d still like to talk to me, or if you’re still interested in my study journey/my life, feel free to DM me here (through my inbox) or on instagram (i’ve deleted my studygram for now).
