Application season is taking out all the breath out of me. Here I am, waiting, hoping, manifesting for a brilliant Plan A Fall 2023, grateful for all I have, praying for all that could be - should be.
Graduate School
Although I have another four years of undergrad (because of poor academic performance, transferring & changing my major 100x), I’m still trying to seek out the perfect graduate school program. Previously I was seriously considering UC Berkeley’s PhD program in African American Studies with a designated emphasis (grad school minor) in New Media. This program is still very much on the table, but after speaking with a lady I met at my current school I am now considering programs in Visual and Cultural Studies. I was introduced to the discipline through the PhD program at the University of Rochester but I am now looking at similar programs elsewhere. I am trying to find the perfect intersection between African American Culture, Communication, Visual Anthropology, Media Studies and Sociological Analysis. 🤔
