A frozen valentine’s day! Work was cancelled, so I spent most of my day prepping for my Discrete Math test tomorrow. Assuming I can take it, as I lost internet about 10 minutes ago.

Apparently windchill is a thing and so it feels like -11˚F.

It’s been so cold, the roads have been in danger of icing over (and have already). Luckily, my boyfriend lives just a few blocks away from where I work. Unfortunately, that means packing everything I’ll need to study + clothes + work stuff just in case I don’t feel safe driving. I guess an upside of not having to go to campus for classes is that I don’t have to haul my life around with me everyday.

It’s definitely cold here in Texas. Trying to stay warm and do as much homework as I can before work. I’m worried I haven’t prepared enough for my math test that’s on Monday. Can online classes even be cancelled due to bad weather? It’s supposed to be in the single digit for Monday. For Texas, that is wild.

Today, I drew some ROCKS. And also took my first exam of the semester. Hopefully, I did okay. The next project for my Data Structures class was released even though the due date for the 1st one is tomorrow. Don’t know how I feel about that, honestly.

It’s supposed to get super cold this weekend! I’m way too Texas for that.

A most helpful cat.

Trying to stay on top of homework. Too many late nights with early mornings. I should really be aiming to go to bed before midnight. Reviewed the code for my project and made some minor adjustments. But overall, I’m pretty happy with it.

All of my homework is done for the week! Yeah! So that just means all of my free time will be going over math problems for my test on Monday...

Whoops, I totally missed yesterday. I worked on my coding project until the very minute I had to leave for work. And then I was so exhausted when I got home, I went straight to sleep. Finally finished the project this evening though. Such a relief to get that done. Finished up some other homework as well. First test of the semester is this week. I think I’m ready?

Unfortunately, it’s not only school I have to study. Work makes me study too. There will be 20 new wines added to our drink list, so I’m getting a bit of a heard start on making flash cards to learn them.

Hoping to dedicate most of my morning before work tomorrow on knocking out my first coding project of the semester. It’s in 4 parts, and I’ve done one part already. I think one section will give me a little trouble, but it’ll be fun to untangle.

Finished this calendar yesterday, but you know, it got done. I’m always terrified I’ll misspell February, no matter how many times I write it. Not too much gets done on Thursday. It’s a weird day where I go have to back to back classes, then straight to work. I’ll hopefully do a little review before bed.

How it started vs how it’s going. Tea gave way to wine. Knocked out a few big assignments. Although, I did have to spend a large chunk of my time this evening wrangling together 3 different PowerPoint slides + my class notes into something that resembled cohesion. Definitely made completing the homework assignment take twice as long. 

My new goal is to get these posts up before midnight in the future. Cause that means I’m not staying up past midnight studying.

Another crazy busy day. I accomplished quite a bit. Finished math homework and quiz. A geology quiz and lab assignment. A data structures quiz. Tomorrow will be just as heavy. Hopefully, I can get started on my project for data structures. For now, I’ll review some math before sleep. I feel like I should make that joke about “light reading,” but that’s a sad joke we’ve all heard too many times.

In exactly one hundred days will be the day of my last final of the semester. Seemed a fitting way to start my studyblr. Had a very busy day, but I managed to do a lot of the important stuff (math notes, geology lab, data structures homework). Got this studyblr up and running. Hopefully I’ll find some time soon to actually make it pretty, ha. For now, I need to finish up these geology notes before bed.
