Today was a rainy day and it was perfect to chill amd relax a bit before another new week starts!! 🍂🍁✨

Quanto è bella questa galassia *^* si chiama NGC2146. Comprende centinaia di miliardi di stelle, con alcune enormi regioni attive di formazione stellare molto intensa (le zone più blu e rosse) eppure... se guardiamo il cielo notturno non si vede nemmeno come un puntino. Questo perché si trova a 70 milioni di anni luce circa (nella direzione della Costellazione della Giraffa) ed a questa distanza enorme, la sua luce ormai è troppo debole per i nostri occhi.
Hubble però, con uno specchio enorme e senza disturbi atmosferici, riesce non solo a vederla ma a riprendere dettagli bellissimi della sua struttura. Una cosa che si nota bene è che parte della struttura della galassia è deformata. Insieme all'esplosione di nuove stelle, questi due fattori sono indizi dell'interazione in atto con un altra galassia vicina la cui gravità sta distorcendo la struttura di questa.
