dec 6-dec 12 2021 45-51/100 days of productivity
read a book, wrote a commentary
attended a discussion which was thankfully a little laid back bc i hadn’t slept the day before
redid my model, created a couple of new datasheets to run it
attended a methods lecture
worked on a database for the research team
skimmed through the three books i plan on using for my final paper
found more literature when am i going to read everything aaaa
really happy that i trusted my hunch and changed the model - i amazingly got the results that i wanted and i think i’m finally able to ‘grasp’ my phd research

the best way to start your morning ✨🖋
trying to be an essential (pharmacy) worker while also studying full time during quarantine is proving to be quite the challenge. I’ve adapted by waking up at 5am, watching a lecture or two before work, and then watching more lectures or doing assignments after dinner. While tiring during the week, on my days off I like to sleep in and snuggle my cat.
Hope everyone is surviving quarantine! Don’t forget to exercise (outside if possible) and balance work with relaxation. 🍃🌻
the book of the week for me, SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome by Mary Beard.
I spent most of my week writing an essay on ancient Rome, so this book was immensely helpful for seeing the bigger picture and not getting too caught up with the smallest details.
Highly recommend for all stages of historical knowledge!

❄️Day 27 of My Winter Studying Challenge ❄️
27th December - What was the best moment of Christmas?
technically it was on boxing day because for me that is a second christmas with my mum but we spent a couple of hours playing some trivia games and it was so much fun! i laughed more than i have in ages (and i also won every game!!! 🎉)
late night reading some of my favourite poems from one of my favourite poets.

morning Greek study

a winter studying aesthetic
warming your hands on a mug of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate
settling in to study under a pile of blankets
short days, waking for your first class while it’s still dark
your favorite sweater, worn and wearing thin
walking from one class to the next, face shielded from the wind by a hand-knitted scarf
writing even as your fingers grow stiff with cold
a glow of warm, flickering candlelight
getting distracted by snow falling just outside your window
working diligently, pushing through to the end of the semester
deep, calming breaths before a big test that turn to fog in the frigid air
a glimpse of the sun, low on the horizon
long novels piled on your bedside table
taking a study break to have a snowball fight with your friends
8.18.21 | day 11/30 of productivity | i went to lecture this morning and then came back, at lunch, and laid in bed for 2 hours

25.10.2019 // Studying from home today after a loong day at school yesterday. Also spending some quality time with my moomin mugs. It's dark outside today and the wind is really howling

Biochemistry study-posters I made for last quarter (that i’ve procrastinated posting)
I’ll post printout versions of these eventually lol
Presentation preparations.
I‘m so nervous about this presentation because tbh I don’t understand a lot of it. I’ve been working on it for 3 weeks now, and I really tried to understand most of it, but I’m hoping that there won’t be any questions.
Also I finally finished reading Human Acts. That book broke something in me... I cried like a baby
