Hey people!

Day 29/100. Bullet journal spread for the week. I haven’t posted all week and I haven’t been particularly productive either. That changes today. Finished my spread for this post and added a few markers I used along with a cool bicycle paperclip.
Bujo spread for week 2 of February. I've been M.I.A for a week or so, but I'm back.
Day 18/100. Can’t say I’ve been productive. I’ve learnt not to overestimate myself, and not to trust my friends to come play badminton with me. Decided on the color schemes for the next 2 weeks. It’s fun to journal when everyone is asleep. First bullet journal post ever, guys!! I’m already in love with it.
My first bullet journal ever.
Day 17/100. Super productive. Woke up at 6.30 a.m. Wrote a math test. Practiced math for an hour after that. Did some Literature thorough reading. And studied some commerce. Above we have my Literature notes with my running note messy handwriting, or as I like to call it “Scribbled-Without-Looking” handwriting. I promise my handwriting is usually much better. Side note: This is a side blog and my main is @poetrydee but it was getting slightly annoying. So I created a main Studyblr ( @productiveplatypus ) so go check it out? I also started a studygram.
H el p the uni wifi has gone down I’m living in the void Send assistance Eduroam is my mortal enemy

Higher Level Economics mindmaps - some study materials that helped me get a full score in the subject, and a top score in my IB exams.
When and how to use mindmaps:
The subject you are studying is content-heavy: Mindmaps, used alongside your own comprehensive study notes, can help to organise chunks of information into simpler points. This in turn makes the information you have to learn clearer in your mind, which aids in the memorisation process when the exams near. What I did to study for Economics was to first detailedly summarise notes from lectures and textbooks into a notebook. Then, I made mindmaps (like the ones above) for each chapter, in so doing summarising 10-20 notebook pages into a single sheet. I then looked at the headings written on my mindmaps, and slowly memorised the chunk of information that was supposed to follow. Once I can safely go through all the mindmap headings and regurgitate its supposed content, I have memorised what I needed too.
You need to collate bits and pieces of your lecture, self-researched, and textbook into a coherent document: During the course, I had 5 hours worth of lessons each week where the teacher would teach from lecture slides, and 3 textbooks to alternate between (as you could imagine, I had lots of important information sprawled all over). Lots of theory and concepts would be explained in class and in textbooks, but we had to do tons of self-research when it came to real-life examples to back up our essays. Mindmaps can help you to consolidate these bits of information into a coherent page. The reason why I do mindmaps by chapter is also for this purpose. Say I want to study Supply and Demand today - I’d first gather my notes and materials on the chapter, and read through them all. Then, I’d section the chapter off using subheaders (e.g. Intro to SS&DD, The Demand Curve, Non-price Determinants of Demand etc.), and insert the information into their respective subheaders. Finally, I’d research on real-life examples online, typically including 2-3 examples for each concept. This same process can be used to devise your comprehensive study notes as well - you’d just be including way more information!
*Only use if really, really needed* When you are rushing to study for a test the next day: I personally never knew this myself, but mindmaps can really help with quick memorisation when you’re pressed for time. Your headers in this case should stand out - make them bright and clear. These have a way of leaving an imprint in your mind, which is good for short-term memorisation. The fact that you’re memorising in little keywords also adds to mindmaps’ effectiveness. But, remember, relying on heavily summarised mindmaps is no way to study for a huge exam!!!! There is no way that you will have every bit of necessary information in your brain if you study solely using mindmaps. Always start early, and study hard beforehand!
If you want to see how I actually made the mindmaps, I’ll be uploading a video on my new youtube channel over the next few days. It looks a VERY bare right now, but please subscribe so you’ll know when I upload new stuff! :)
Omg these mind maps are perfect for a good chunk of my portion!!!!! Gosh bless this kid!!!!!
Day 15/100. Studied some more economics today. Worked on my bullet journal (which is coming along quite nicely btw) and made a schedule for the last leg of prep. Got my results, they were horrid. So I have to study now and make up for it. Wish me luck guys!
Hey! I'm wondering how to keep motivated, because I get to close yo no notes on my posts. I don't seem to be properly in the community yet, so I'm hoping this helps. I'm @studynotscroll btw. And I think what you're doing is great. Thanks! :)
when i need to get motivated, i usually think about the fact that i’ll be able to sleep better. also about how much happier it’ll make me in the future if i do something productive now, because i’ll have less to bear on my shoulders.
don’t worry! you are in the community already, just by following it. you don’t need to have aesthetic notes, expensive stationery and thousands of followers. it’s the thought that counts!
thank you love!
second edit: i’m stupid. here’s your actual blog rate lmao. both your content and your theme are a bit confusing, there’s one super long post that is basically unreadable because it doesn’t work with your theme. but i love your url and the cutie pie in your picture!!! you do you boo
THANKYOU SOO MUCH
Reminder:
You’re safe on my blog.
There’s so much fear and tension right now. It’s scary and dangerous.
But you will find nothing but love and acceptance here. I support you.
blog rates!! here to tell you what i think.:-) your blog is a beautiful mixture of topics. i love your original posts! you're such a cutie. - ihopeikeepthisup
Thanks soo much!! And sowwie about the confusion with the ask... 😂 And thanks for that reply anyway! You seem super cool, so YOU GO!
here’s to the studyblrs who don’t have great calligraphy skills. who don’t have the patience to maintain a beautiful bullet journal. who have big messy handwriting. who don’t have “aesthetic” study spaces. our work may not be pretty like we wish it could be, but we still keep ourselves motivated to do well in school thanks to the studyblr community we draw inspiration from. let’s embrace our imperfections. our notes will not always look perfect, but what’s important is that we are learning. that’s what we’re all in this community for, after all. to learn.
Here's to studying and making it. May we all achieve all we set out to, and even more. We can do this.
blog rates!!!
so.
you may or may not have noticed that my blog has hit the 2000 mark not long ago. it’s completely batshit crazy, i don’t understand it, but i’m not gonna complain. this blog keeps me working on my future and the studyblr community keeps reminding me that it’s all gonna be okay.
in celebration of all this, i have decided to interact with you a bit more!
blog rates
yup, that’s right. my two thousand ass is gonna check out your blog (probably follow you) and tell you what i think. in sentences. not by highlighting a word. you’ll get to hear my honest opinion. if you listen to it or if you send me to hell for it doesn’t matter.
what do you have to do?
1. follow me
2. reblog this post
3. send me an ask (no anons in this case ffs) with anything on your mind (even a question, i’ll answer it somewhere along the way)
if you don’t want me spamming your dash, blacklist the tag # anna does blog rates
woo let’s do this
Congratulations on reaching 200!! I'd love to hear what you think of my blog.
Trying to find something to motivate myself and I found this little line from Van Gogh
He's probably my favorite artist.
Day 14/100. Made a proper schedule/plan to work for my Final Board Exams in a month. Started a bullet journal after lots of scrolling on Tumblr. It's quite exciting and even slightly motivating. I picked a thin book because I can change up the style sooner, and it'll be super easy to carry around. Played badminton for 45 minutes and ate a really nice dinner. Studied some eco. Planning on doing some math now.
Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you
Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.
ok universe, i’m ready to feel good things. make me feel good things.
whenever i post this it works reblog if u want to feel good things & the universe will bring u something sweet
Hey Studyblr community, Help a kid out. How do I start a bullet journal? I'm relatively awake and ready to learn.
