A little Valentine’s doodle.

I know..I told  I was not sure if I would have done another romantic sketch on Hiccup and Astrid. 

Well…last night I invented this…maybe for the arrival of St. Valentine’s day…I don’t know :D Hope you like it ^^

I have a physical need for Toothless to be around when Hiccup and Astrid start having kids. Because, like that's his baby too.

Toothless taking at least a week to understand that he really don't have to regurgitate fish for the baby. Another week for him to understand Astrid doesn't need it either.

Making him understand that he really shouldn't "bathe" the baby is an ongoing battle.

Toothless sleeping curled around the cradle. Gods help anyone apart from Hiccup and Astrid if they try to approach.

Once the baby is a little bigger, them and Toothless playing by passing a little ball back and forth on the floor.

Toothless seen carrying a toddler in his mouth around the village, with the people being totally non-plussed. "That's alright, kid just wandered too far away from the 'nest' for Toothless' liking."

Symbolism in HTTYD 1

So I’ve been rewatching HTTYD 1, as one does, and I just noticed the symbolism of the “a downed dragon is a dead dragon scene"

Gobber and the recruits are sharing tails by the fire and eating dinner. Gobber then tells the recruits to target dragon’s wings and tail so they can’t fly away and are grounded since a dragon will be vulnerable.

Notice how Gobber and all the recruits except Hiccup are eating chicken, which like dragons have wings and tails.

I believe this is symbolism for the glorification of dragon killing and how all of them except Hiccup are engrossed in this cycle of violence.

Hiccup on the other hand is eating a fish, which is the only food we see Toothless eat in the movie. Symbolizing how Hiccup aligns himself with dragons, or at least Toothless, more than viking culture.

Hiccup and Astrid read such a quintessential "he fell first, she fell harder" couple to me like.

Like, sure, he had a crush on her. But then she clocked in and decided that "he's mine," and from then on he couldn't have escaped even if he wanted to.

I know Tumblr is full of posts about the virtues of commenting on AO3 fics and such. But like. It works.

I just knocked out 8.5k words in one single day for a chapter update because of one reader leaving one of the most absurdly endearing comments I’ve ever gotten. That is unheard of levels of productivity for me.

Night Fury and Rider. When I uploaded my “Night Fury on a Cliff #4″ painting, I never expected it to blow up the way it did. It might be my most shared piece of art ever on tumblr, and of course I am super glad that it did so well! BUT… I was never really satisfied with the painting, so I decided to redo it now that I am much more confident about my digital art. I am pretty happy with how this turned out this time around!
