The Angel Of Revelation 1805
William Blake
"The Tarot cards were entrusted by the illumined hierophants of the Mysteries into the keeping of the foolish and the ignorant, thus becoming playthings--in many instances even instruments of vice. Man's evil habits therefore actually became the unconscious perpetuators of his philosophical precepts. "We must admire the wisdom of the Initiates," writes Papus, "who utilized vice and made it produce more beneficial results than virtue." Does not this act of the ancient priests itself afford proof that the entire mystery of the Tarot is wrapped up in the symbolism of its zero card? If knowledge was thus entrusted to fools, should it not be sought for in this card? If Le Mat be placed before the first card of the Tarot deck and the others laid out in a horizontal line in sequence from left to right, it will be found that the Fool is walking toward the other trumps as though about to pass through the various cards. Like the spiritually hoodwinked and bound neophyte, Le Mat is about to enter upon the supreme adventure--that of passage through the gates of the Divine Wisdom. If the zero card be considered as extraneous to the major trumps, this destroys the numerical analogy between these cards and the Hebrew letters by leaving one letter without a Tarot correspondent. In this event it will be necessary to assign the missing letter to a hypothetical Tarot card called the elements, assumed to have been broken up to form the 56 cards of the minor trumps. It is possible that each of the major trumps may be subject to a similar division." Manly P. Hall
Is your strength quote from Clarissa? It's a beautiful quote. If it is from Clarissa, I just have to say that I love her to bits. I'm constantly buying Women Who Run With the Wolves at second hand book stores and giving it to women. It's a stranded on a desert island kind of book.
Yes, that's her :)Women who run with the wolves is absolutely one of my favorite books, I read it all the time, bibliomancy, devotional - whatever - that book feeds my soul! I am always passing it along myself. I am always excited to meet a kindred wild woman. <3 It amazes me how many women haven't heard of or read it.
“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door. If you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
Clarissa Pinkola Estes Women who Run with the wolves
Hey there sweeties! I have been traveling and dealing with a lot of personal stuff, but I just wanted to say hello to my new followers, and thank you all for sticking around even though I have been sadly inactive. I am feeling pretty refreshed and inspired and I’m looking forward to picking back up on doing readings, and I know I have some asks to answer as well. If anyone would like a reading, please request off anon. I’ll do a few later on tonight! Thanks!
‘THE GHETTO TAROT’: HAITIAN ARTISTS TRANSFORM CLASSIC TAROT DECK INTO STUNNING REAL LIFE SCENES
Welcome to the Ghetto Tarot, a project from award-winning documentary photographer Alice Smeets and a group of Haitian artists known as Atis Rezistans. The idea was to take the classic Rider-Waite tarot deck of 78 cards and create a photographic version of each card using settings and objects in the vibrant ghetto of Haiti.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits Some say the end is near Some say we'll see armageddon soon I certainly hope we will I sure could use a vacation from this Stupid shit, silly shit, stupid shit One great big festering neon distraction I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied Learn to swim (Aenema, Tool)
Leave everything undefined, including yourself. Befriend uncertainty. Fall in love with mystery. Kneel at the altar of not Knowing. Give your questions time to breathe. And the answers will find you.

Your blog is fantastic. I stumbled on it this morning and I deeply appreciate your perspective and the material you curate. Thank you!
Hi and welcome and most of all thank you! Such friendliness to encounter first thing in the morning. Blessings to you sweet spirit. :)
“All knowledge is more or less uncertain and more or less vague. These are, in a sense, opposing characters: vague knowledge has more likelihood of truth than precise knowledge, but is less useful.“ -Bertrand Russel
The fool card is an indication of a state of being before we are burdened with the realization of knowing how much we don’t know. There is a childlike quality to this card, the fun and play of imagination and possibility that has yet to be dampened by the understanding of the laws which govern reality. Without this state of openness and optimism we would never venture out farther than what is familiar and safe.
Many times this card will fall as a personal significator for those who are just learning how to read Tarot for themselves. Let it be a reminder not to burden oneself at the start. The fool packs light for her journey because she knows that she will collect what she needs along the way.
Those who have gone before ought only help to clear the path, not to tell you how to walk it, and certainly not to walk it for you. These are the merchants at the trail-head. They will try to sell you everything you’ll need for your journey. They will shame your naivete for packing so light, they will put fear in your heart over the possibility of not having what you need when you need it. They capitalize on fear. Do not buy what they are selling. They are loading you up to the point that you will either have to dump it along the way, or sadly, as it often happens, become so overburdened, that the journey is altogether abandoned. Your tiny pack containing only a “likelihood of truth” is all that you need for the journey. The promise of “precise knowledge” is not a promise of truth. For the mystic all truth is subjective and can only be discovered in the light of the individual’s unique state of being. The path of the fool is the path of the mystic. There is a reason you don’t know what you don’t know. Embracing this lightness of being will keep you light on your feet for the infinite journey ahead.

"Modern man does not understand how much his “rationalism”…has put him at the mercy of the psychic “underworld.” He has freed himself from “superstition” (or so he believes), but in the process he has lost his spiritual values to a positively dangerous degree. His moral and spiritual tradition has disintegrated and he is now paying the price for this break-up in world-wide disorientation and disassociation." - Carl Jung "The self lies hidden in shadow: He is the "keeper of the gate," the guardian at the threshold. The way to the self lies through him, behind the dark aspect he represents there stands the aspect of wholeness." - Erich Neumann "Mystery and imagination arise from the same source. This source is called darkness…Darkness within darkness, the gateway to all understanding." – Lao Tzu
