âDude, whatâve you been smoking? Like you donât know if what youâre doing is illegal??â
â I know whatâs illegal and whatâs not. Do you? â
thrcepiece
âSmooth. You always this vacant, handsome?â
â Not always. It comes and goes. â
thrcepiece
âWhatâs your point?â
â Not gonna lie, I forgot what I was talking about. Shit. â
dxrlingcxrmen
âNot particularly, but, yeah, Iâll my âthingâ, as you call it.â
â Youâre not as hostile as you look, thatâs awesome. -- Just to let you know, murder -- I wonât do that for you, âkay? â
dxrlingcxrmen
âHow can I be certain youâll pay me back, and itâs called compelling, Darling. Youâll get it eventually.â
' Donât I look like a trusting guy? Listen -- compelling, mind warping, âyour thingâ all the same. So, youâll do it? â Â
shilohisms
&&.  âitâs the humane thing to do, isnât it?â shiloh huffed a sigh, glancing at herself in the mirror one last time before retreating to the change rooms. âmaybe the 20â˛s could do with a revival instead âââ hmm?â
â What, like Gatsby? Sure, whatever makes you feel good. â

âAre you for real?â
â Fuck, man, this might be illegal but shut up. I mean -- Iâm not doing anything. Actually, I donât think this is illegal. Whatever. â
dxrlingcxrmen
âFine, what exactly is it you need me to do?â
â I need you to loan me money to get my dealer off my back... or you can do your thing and make him forget I owe him money -- or whatever it is you do. â
dxrlingcxrmen
âAnd youâll do whatever I asked?âÂ
â Sure, maybe. â
dxrlingcxrmen
âGive me one good reason why I should help you.â The dark haired girl smirk.
â Because Iâll owe you one. â Ruben eyed Carmen, daring her to do this one favor for him.Â
shilohisms
&&.  âwhat do YOU think? cowboy chic? chic cowboy? well, someoneâs got to wear it â- and not just old, worn country men â- or itâll die out before we ever even see itâs  t r u e  potential, hm?â shiloh paused to catch her reflection. âoh, lord. YIKES.â
â Let that shit die. â
gaiadraak
âYes, I am tattooing myself like I have done many times before, do you have a problem with that?â
â It was a question, take a chill, crazy. â

âGood. Weâre going to the club. Câmon, grab your stuff.â
â Really? Fantastic! Give me five. â

When wasnât he telling her that she was being stupid? It was the same issue that she had with all the others: âBea, you need to feed. Bea, you canât starve yourself.â Over and over again, the same conversation and the outcome was almost the same. She never listened and this always came with it. âCan you please just go?â She asked weakly, leaning against the wall with no energy to turn to him. Her fingers ran shakily through her hair as the brunette searched for the right words to make him leave. âIâm not having sex with you so you really have no reason to stay. We donât talk, Ruben. That was part of the deal. I donât want to talk to you.â
â No, â he left the end of his statement open, almost as if he was questioning himself or he was about to continue, but he did not. Ruben always got exhausted when people werenât as straightforward as him. The kids heâd teach would go right by the point of something, his parents would blatantly ignore whatever was on their mind, but Ruben could never hold anything in. If he had trouble, heâd tell someone, especially if it was terrible. Bea behaving as she was concerned him, heâd expressed it, heâd asked about it, and he wanted to know -- yes because he cared, but he needed something to satisfy his curiosity for the day. â You look like youâre about to pass out. If I leave you might end up dying on the floor in your own vomit or something disgusting. â
Rarely did Ruben ever work at the high school, the tiny people he often substituted and tutored were much more impressed with Ruben than the snotty teenagers that loved to break rule number one ( itâs St. Clair, not Mr. Ruben or Ro-ro ). But it was a favor, someone had begged him to take on a class for the next four days, and Ruben said okay as long as he got a shirt with the school logo on it. He tried to grade papers as nice as he could, but he the God damn answers the snotty kids put were never close to the answer. The deeper he got into the periods and the papers, the more he grew frustrated, marking rude comments on top of papers that were obnoxious. â GO BACK TO MIDDLE SCHOOL, â heâd written on one. â MY MOM? YOUâRE MOM, â ( to which he had to cross out the youâre and put your ) was on another. Some were smart enough to find an ironic answer or literal answer to a simple question that would make him laugh ( heâd give them half credit ).
Throwing another fry from the Pit Stop into his mouth ( which he knew would do nothing for him, but made him feel more mundane ) he groaned and stretched out, pushing aside his paper, he said to the person on the stool next to him, â This generation is so fucked. â

Moving back as if his touch burned, Beatrix narrowed her eyes. Her arms came to cross over her chest defensively and she tried not to convey the pain in her abdomen that made it hard to stand straight. âWhat are you doing here?â He didnât care. That was what sheâd always liked about him. No strings, no emotions, no commitment; so why was he here now? With narrowed eyes, she waited for a reply, but her patience was short and her irritation was high from hunger. âIâm fine now just leave me the fuck alone.â So rarely did she swear, but it was that damn feeling getting out of her. She wanted to rip him apart, but she knew it wouldnât help.
He dropped his hand and rolled his eyes at Beatrix, â stopping by because I can. â He moved passed her and into her home that he was extremely familiar with. â At least youâre fine now, but you swearing -- thatâs discomforting. But Iâm also turned on. â He walked to her couch and sat down, stretching his legs out and made himself comfortable, he looked over at Bea. Everything he did always pissed her off, every word out of his mouth, every action he performed -- and Ruben never knew what the hell she wanted from him. If anything, he was at least honest about his feelings and emotions, not something sheâd get from others, and heâd felt like that should earn him brownie points with her. â You can tell me whatâs up, itâs not like Iâll go around telling your problems to other -- if anything Iâll tell you youâre being stupid. â
