Imagine if the Voidlight Archive's prologues are different PoVs of Kaladin returning instead of Gavilar dying.

Kaladin is everything Gavilar wanted to be but never could. The first five books opened on the death of a man who wished to herald the return of the Radiants to Roshar, and the back five could open on the revival of the man who will.

The flaws of the Son of Honor are clear as day when he stands in the shadow of the Child of Tanavast.

Hypothetically, if Voidlight on good ending stopped became a pirate warlock thing, how would the VV react/do?

Like maybe, they continued their original job of hunting down slaves for like 15/25 years, before getting idk, burnt out? So they kinda retire the whole thing for a while (or permanently). Would the VV be happier?

This is answered in one of the good endings, in minor detail.

One of Violo's puppets goes with them to always physically be available. Viv occasionally joins from time to time because they become wanderers as well (Heimos & VV are the wandering pair while Amare & Necare are "stationary until provoked").

If the Voidlight decides to retire, there is quite literally a thriving nation where Spring Warden worship is the state religion, with a massive castle/temple where Vigil resides. Technically Vigil rules over the Land of the Living Dead while VV are out doing godly things, and normally he'd happily hand over power.

But the VL can't really stay in one spot for too long. Which means their pirating basically turns into an eternal cruise where they're pampered by Viv and Vio.

Perhaps in the future, after it's learned how to better contain their power (probably by Violo pulling on Void's hair until he listens), they can settle down somewhere more peacefully.

i'm reading rhythm of war right now and navani and raboniel just successfully mixed stormlight and voidlight together with music, and oh man do i have theories [edit: i numbered different points for better readability]

so currently i know of five types of lights- stormlight, which responds to honor's tone lifelight, which respond's to cultivation's tone voidlight, which respond's to odium's tone towerlight, which responds to the harmony of honor and cultivation's tones and this new warlight(? i don't know the name yet) which responds to the harmony of honor and odium's tones.

even with just three base tones, there should be seven tones including a mixture of voidlight and lifelight and a mixture of all three. the lights also apparently need rhythms to mix and interact with their surroundings, like how stormlight needs a specific rhythm to grow plants. and there are a lot of rhythms. so do all of the rhythms correspond to a different type of light?

also: singers who have bonded with voidspren hear different rhythms, or rather slightly more powerful and chaotic versions of old rhythms. so maybe that's because the normal or old rhythms were based on honor's tone, and these new rhythms are based on odium's tone. (kind of like how songs are on specific scales, like g minor or c major)

2. maybe the types of light act like colours? in the colour wheel, primary colours mix together to form secondary colours, which mix to form tertiary, and so on. stormlight, voidlight, and lifelight could be the primary lights, with towerlight and warlight as two of the secondary lights, and they all need harmonies of their respective rhythms to mix.

3. this might seem a little off topic, but... in mistborn era 1, sazed mentioned that there are three main aspects of gods in the cosmere: their power/intent, mind/vessel and body. for example, ruin's power or intent was destructive and manipulative abilities (as far as i know till now, i haven't started era 2), his mind or vessel was ati, who was corrupted by the power (i think) and his body was trapped by preservation into beads of atium, which were used by allomancers to access his power... the exact same way the knights radiant use light! by investiture!

so are all forms of light the bodies of the gods/shards? and by investing them the knights radiant gain access to their power? and the mixed light allows them to access more than one shard's power at a time?

i didn't even account for the bondsmiths or the dawnchant yet, because i know next to nothing about them!

Finished playing WRBC from the Sacrarium series by Stygian-Eye-Stories and wanted to draw my version of the mcs again lol (At least the ones for the currently released games) I've drawn Keybell and Voidlight before. Links to those pics here and here. (Keybell is basically unchanged. Though I did give my Voidlight a MUCH better haircut lol) But this is the first time drawing Truthlight. Choosing the Truthlight's gender was surprisingly difficult lol At first I played them as a woman (because I am a woman and I default to that the first time I play these kinds of games.) Then I tried male, then female again, and I couldn't really make up my mind. I even drew a feminine version of Truthlight and left it up to which version I liked more visually. In the end, I kind of fell in love with my masculine Truthlight's sideburns lol so masculine it is. Though I'll probably choose they/them pronouns for them from now on in honor of the gender confusion they put me through. I also couldn't resist drawing baby Truthlight (preteenish age)
