Fridays are for chelsea boots! Wearing my trust old @carminashoemaker chelseas from @skoaktiebolaget along with a long lost, but recently found pair of jeans. The jeans are a collaboration between @standardandstrange and @ooe_yofukuten. That reminds me, Standard and Strange is a terrific shop, and they are celebrating their sixth anniversary tomorrow evening. A simple fit on a moderate winter day. I'm trying something a little bit different here. I wanted this to be a fit that focused on simplicity, so that the focus could be on the luxurious fabrics. The shirt is one of the relatively new @stoffa knit pique pieces. This one is their band collar popover in what I would describe as ecru (I can't remember their color name). The jacket is a cashmere @ring_jacket model 3 from @thearmourynyc. The cut and construction of the model 3 consistently makes it one of the sport coat models I most enjoy wearing. Pocket square is from @vandafineclothing. Given the simplicity of the rest of the fit, I opted to add one extra element in the @aleksjj lapel chain. I'm interested to hear what people think of that choice. For me, this all combines for an outfit that is quite comfortable and feels easy to wear. Yes, it is the season of snow, but on sunny and dry days, also the season of leaves and loafers. I'm wearing a staple pair for me, @aldenshoeco snuff suede LHS loafers (from @gentlemensfootwear). Shout to to my IG mate @burzanblog who just hit the 20K mark today. That is very well deserved, in my view. Since my start on IG a couple of years ago, I've valued my conversations with @burzanblog. This might be my favorite of the looks I have come across this season. The ever creative @flannels_and_tweed nicely captures some of the colors of Autumn. I like that he has used a subdued herringbone jacket as a counterbalance to a colorful cardigan, tie, and pocket square combination. Moreover, to my eye, the color pairings in the cardigan, tie and pocket square are simply perfect. Well done.
