VIOLENTLY HAPPY REVIEW : Screening now in Germany and hopefully soon in other countries. Everyone interested in kink should go see this movie. This beautiful documentary about Schwelle7, his creator Felix Ruckert, and the “family” around him, paints the avant-garde of kink of the XXI century... and of course this is happening in Berlin ;-) Its influence is worldwide. I have been a member of the large circle of this family, therefore I have a very subjective view on the movie, and it’s hard to make a review. The movie is sometimes extremely soft, sometimes rough, you don’t have to like it all. Faithful to Felix’s spirit, it is totally raw and without make-up, showing it all without any filters. Ah! Watching it now, I’m surprised to always remain curious and disturbed by some 'games' in the movie, even after 5 years of going to Schwelle7 and Felix's Xplore festivals. Felix is one of the most inspiring persons I have met. He brang a lot of playfullness and freedom in the way japanese rope bondage and other kinks are practiced in Europe. His post-modern kink gatherings are a wise alchemy of sex, conscious play, intelligence, kindness, softness, release, letting-go, bodies explorations, dance, art, consensual violence, and actually much more than the glimpse you'll catch in this movie. In our civilisation of the mind, of the internet, of the computers, of the sitting jobs hours on chairs, Felix is one of extremely rare creative person to bring back to the people the "intelligence of the body", with the sexuality on its core.
