I love clothes, shoes, accessorizing, I love fashion! What brings me here- You do! Do you love fashion too? Let’s talk. Let’s share what we like to wear and places to shop.

I can put outfits together, mix and match, and I’m always looking for that sweater or top that might have that little embellishment or sleeve that’s different. I buy lots of my clothing in Anthropologie; yes I am an Anthro girl so if you are familiar with this store you know exactly what I’m talking about. I also like to shop online; For unique accessories Mod Cloth is a fun place to shop, Free People, Zara, and Unique Vintage.

I do not have enough closet space. Who does? I’ m hoping that will change one day. And that brings me to the closet. I’m forever organizing my closet. I hang my clothes by color (mostly the tops/sweaters). It just makes it so much easier for me when I have to put an outfit together. How about you? What tips do you have for closet organization. HOW NOT TO OVER PACK!

I used to pack everything-Too many shoes,all styles and colors, kazillion tops, until my luggage got lost and luckily it was found but what a scare! I did not want to check my luggage ever again. I discovered I can pack one carry on and call it a day. And I can pack one carry on for a 10 day trip! Read on.....

First choose your colors-Keep it neutral (black, white and choose one color that pops!

Next- Every bottom piece should match every top that you bring.

Tops-Bring 4 tops (you can wear them twice)

Bottoms-jeans, black pant, cacky pant, skirt (if you don’t wear skirts take another pair of jeans!

sweater/light jacket

Shoes-ballet flats always! sneakers, comfortable heels if needed, & flip flops depending where you are going.

Accessories-necklace/earrings/bracelet (only one of each)

These outfits should be enough for at least 10 days if not more because you are going to mix & match with the 4 tops. And if you are anything like me I end up buying a new top or 2 while I’m away.

I enjoy all the sights and the food, but I like clothes & jewelry shopping when I’m away. And when you pack light you will have room for the new things. However, I have been known to go back home wearing 4 tops to make more room in the bag. I just wear one top over another top! Lol!! Does anyone else do this?

And just to set things straight I have my carry on for my clothes and I bring my shoulder carry on for makeup, camera, etc. Questions?- Just Ask Me!

TO CAPRI OR NOT TO CAPRI!

Which shoes to wear with Capri Pants:

Ballerina Flats, peep-toe, flat strap sandals, flip flops, and even sneakers so long as they are light weight sneakers, slip ons are fine. Though personally I don’t wear sneakers with capri pants. All the above shoes show a lot of the foot, which helps elongate the part of the leg that shows.

Do not recommend these shoes for Capri Pants:

Bulky type sneakers, heavy straps, thick straps, clogs or any shoe that is bulky.

And in case you were wondering Capri pants are slightly shorter in length than cropped pants. Cropped pants are probably a better look on a petite person because the length is longer and it won’t give you that stubby appearance. However, it doesn’t mean you cannot wear capri pants. For the petite women wear your capri pants. straight legs, with a shorter top to balance the look. And, if the capri pants are flared at the bottom those will definitely give a stubby appearance!

Straw bags, straw hats - they are everywhere! Shoulder, tote, clutch, straw beach bags. Embellished with pom-poms, tassels, or just tie your bandana around the strap! You’re nowhere this summer without a straw bag! The ones showing in the pics are pricey however you can buy them for less. So wear that straw bag on your arm this season. They are adorable!

Understand & know your body shape. It will help you choose clothes that will flatter you the most. Isn’t that what we hear all the time. But we can break rules; we don’t have to feel compelled that we stick to one body shape. We can play with accessories and/or color. We can draw attention to the upper body with statement pieces or big earrings. We can do things that trick the eye! Check out the shapes below & see if you can figure out which one you are-

Hourglass Shape: Shoulders and hips are similar widths. Curvy body shape. Your hourglass figure was made for dresses. Anything flowy add a belt to accent your waist. Skinny jeans and leggings are perfect for you. Celebs who are Hourglass- Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Sophia Loren!

Pear Shape: Larger lower body and smaller upper body. You need fab tops that draw the eye upward. Celebs who are Pear Shape-JLo, Kelly Clarkson

Apple Shape: Shoulders are broader than hips. Darker colors always slimming. Celebs who are Apple Shape- Tyra Banks, Catherine Zeta-Jones

Rectangle Shape: Shoulders and hips are nearly the same size, waist is straight up and down, not well-defined. Flowy outerwear are great on you. If your top is oversized wear skinny jeans or leggings. Celebs who are Athletic shapes- Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman, Gwen Stefani
