Ha, no....I've been workin' on a new project, actually. Mini-sentries! But I keep screwin' up the schematics. I'm just taking a break, for now at least.

[ ' You should sleep. Do not overwork yourself to exhaustion ' ] [ Taph let out a small huff, but he shuffled over so Builderman would have a bit more room. She didn't need help, but the company was nice. ] [ ' No not really, I would not mind if you stuck around though. Would be nice even ? ' ]

[ He hummed, spreading out his legs a bit thanks to the created free space.]

The silence is unsettling. Only sometimes. The silence helps me think- helps me reminisce. Though, I guess reflectin' on the past doesn't help all that much.
[ He returned the stare, trying to push down the shudder that coursed through his spine.]
[ ' Yeah. I get you on that, sometimes the past deserves to stay buried ' ] [ Taph had pushed away the tripmine, shuffling to moreso face Builderman and talk to him. ]

[ Taph dramatically fell over after the punch to the shoulder, acting like a frail Victorian child. ] [ ' Builds has hit me.. jail for the admin, jail for a hundred years ' ] [ and yet you could easily hear her laughter, even if it lacked proper sound, the light gasping that made up his laugh was.. frankly obvious enough. ]
[ A slight gasp transformed into uproarious laughter. Tears welled up in his eyes, so he had to wipe them away.]
Gods, jail?! How dare you! 'Tis but a scratch, my dear friend!
[ Taphs shoulders heaved with her laughter, staying in his fallen over position,, It was comfortable despite the how she never uncrossed his legs. ] [ ' tis not just a scratch ! I am wounded ! Suffering ! Jail must be the only option ! ' ]
Hmmm, maybe I am a fiend that should be jailed. But the authorities won't be able to find me- 'm, like, a ninja. Riiiight, riiiiiight! A ninja!
[ His stomach ached with continuous laughter. He joined her in the same position, gasping for air to recover from cackling.]

[ A (very manly) squeal escaped him after the soft kick.]

It was so recognizably Taph, given how he seemed to show up barely a minute after, trying not to barrel into the admin. Her hands flailing a bit as the panic really didnt try to hide itself ] " IS- Isss it possible that things can change in this realm because THIS-" [ Taph gestured to his throat, as if hearing her speak wasnt enough. ] "Is so far from normal-!" - coghs @subspace-demolition
Builderman was still trying to fully wake up, sitting in the chair still. The sound of his name, and the voice it belonged to more than startled him. His head snaps up, and the flower he was handed vanishes in an instant, off to his inventory. He sits up straight, blanket falling off his shoulders as he shoves off the chair, hands out to stop Taph without hurting either of them.
"Woah woah easy-"

"I- hey- hold up."
He gives a weak little laugh, clearly surprised by it, and struggling to keep up despite how little information it is. Talking again... He holds out his hands for him to take, in case the contact might help ground her in the moment.
"Easy there, Taph... Don't. Want t'lose it again, hey? Jus... Take it easy, slow down a lil. That's... Certainly new, hah. Y'alright, overall..? Anythin' else odd?"
[ Taph was quick to take Buildermans hands, though he nearly jerked them back before remembering she didn't.. need them to speak as it currently stood ] "Yes right sorry- I'm-" [He let out a shaky laugh, unnerved and maybe a bit fearful ] "This is too much- Nothing else is wrong I just- I can speak! I have a voice again! And I- don't like that !" "Sure it's great that I can speak again but it feels wrong and unnatural!" [ Taph let opt a nigh distressed noise, hanging his head. Too many thoughts were running through her head, and for once he found himself speechless, unsure of just what to say. Yet regardless she still spoke. ] "On the bright side-! Since nobody really knows what I sound like I can play little jokes or pranks right now?" "thats not the right thing to focus on-"
Builderman frowns softly at Taph’s reaction, though it’s an understandable one. Suddenly talking again is. A hell of a surprise. He gives the other’s hands a gentle squeeze, then lets go of his hands.
“You don’ gotta, even if you can, you know.”
He reminds him with a smile, tilting his head slightly to the side. Part of him wants to offer her a hug. And there’s really no reason not to, so he does in fact offer her a one-armed hug while speaking.
“This place is… Odd. For a number’f reasons. I’m… Sure this had a reason to it, and even if it does, y’don’ gotta speak if y’jus’ don’ wanna. Folk didn’ also suddenly lose th’ability t’read Sign, for those that can. I know I sure didn’, at least. Shockin’ as this is, if you’d be more comfortable pretendin’ nothin’s changed, no one would stop ya.”
[ Taph leaned into the hug, relaxing near instantly at the gesture and even trilling. She.. found it easy to find comfort in Builderman and another specific admin.. ] "Thats- right" [ He mumbled, taking in what the admin said and processing it much quicker than she would any other day. ] "It might be good to do that actually- ! Telamon's wings fluff up, and He turns to face the source of the yell, and... Oh. Oh, Taph... He opens His arms, extending His wings out as well. This is not a time to prioritize asking WHY, but to calm, for if left panicked she'll only hurt the voice he's just regained.
"I hear your call, Taph, come here."
[ Taph didn't think to do his usual '1000 questions per minute', content to slump into Telamons embrace like it was something she was used to doing. He took the moment to just breathe, catch what she needed before even attempting to speak. ] [ The demolitionists feathers were fluffed up, and while other times it could be deemed as something fun, as he often would puff up in playful frustration, this was far from the same thing. ] "I am- I am so sorry for giving no warning- " [ she wheezed out, his voice already rough, with only two options as the reason. ]
It holds him close, slowly and gently cooing to attempt to comfort her.
"There is no need for your apologies, Taph. I do not think either of us could have predicted this. Do... Try to rest your voice. You would not wish to harm it again so soon after regaining it, yes?"
