Heard it on the talktalk today..."it's INTRINSIC IN OUR DNA! People WANT to WORK!"

No, pendejo, no one - with the exception of maybe the self employed creatives - WANTS to *WORK*.

Yes, there is enjoyment and fulfillment in accomplishment; there can be comfort in routine. BUT...We are not designed by nature to WORK as part of our fullness in life.

People WANT to be able to pay their BILLS because they are AFRAID of what will happen if they do not. It's got nothing to do with some holy sacred desire to be put to task, especially for the benefit of some employer who is benefiting from the sweat off your back. Come on!

If you listen to US cop propaganda it sounds like they have the most dangerous job there is, and that the ridiculous militarisation of the police force is for their protection, and not just because they’re violent, cowardly bullies on an ego trip. They even have their own little thin blue line flag for bootlickers to show their support for the poor, heroic police men who were just doing their job when they murder black people and beat their wives. Anyway, it turns out that police officer is only the 14th most dangerous job in the US (and that most deaths on the job come from traffic accidents), So I made a bunch of Thin [adjective] Line flags for the people who actually deserve our respect and support, with jobs that are more dangerous than being a cop. The 13 most dangerous jobs in the US:  13. Construction laborers 12. First-line supervisors of mechanics, installers, and repairers 11. Grounds maintenance workers 10. Miscellaneous agricultural workers 9. First-line supervisors of construction trades and extraction workers 8. Farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural managers 7. Delivery drivers and truck drivers 6. Structural iron and steel workers 5. Refuse and recyclable material collectors 4. Roofers 3. Aircraft pilots and flight engineers 2. Fishers and related fishing workers 1. Logging workers So, if you happen to know a garbage man, delivery driver or a lumberjack or whatever, why not print out some bumper stickers of their own Thin [x] Line flag, and thank them for doing their dangerous job without using it as an excuse to murder innocent people.

Idaho Comics Group Commemorates The Opening Game Between The Boise State University Broncos And The Florida State Seminoles With Comic Book Cover Artwork!

Boise, Idaho (August 19th, 2019) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!

Face front, True Believers!  This is not any old press release from some unpaid corporate intern.  This is the real nitty gritty from your ol’ pal Al of the Gem State’s very own Idaho Comic Group.

For the last few years, our distinguished competition over at Marvel Comics have teamed up with those  irrepressible madcaps at ESPN to pay tribute to some of the bigger college football match-ups of the opening weekend.  Some of the college football teams featured on these covers include collegiate gridiron stalwarts such as the Oklahoma Sooners, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Clemson Tigers, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, “THE”TM Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Washington Huskies to name just a few. Heck, they have even featured our rascally regional rival: the BYU Cougars.

Well, what about the Boise State University Broncos?  

Each season comic book/college football fans from Bronco Nation have been waiting impatiently to get a little love from from the magnificent minds over at mighty Marvel with a comic book cover tribute.

To that end, we at Idaho Comics Group, a local indie comic book publisher from Boise, Idaho, purveyor of the officially licensed Tarzan and the Comics of Idaho and Idaho Comics, have decided to take up that cause.

Idaho Comics Group has produced comic book cover artwork to commemorate the opening game of the season between the Boise State University Broncos and the Florida State Seminoles who will play at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.  The cover pays homage to a very famous comic book cover that featured another monumental first time meeting.  We will let you guess who those super heroes were after you see the image.

The Boise State University/Florida State game will air on Saturday, August 31st on ESPN at 5pm MT.  Until then faithful fans, pax, amor, et intellectus!
