Just as she was about to stand to ask the student making the noises to politely stop, she saw the flash of light dart in front of her eyes. It made her jump, and consider taking a break from reading as she was beginning to see things now. The girl did not need hallucinations from reading. So she stood, as the bells began to to become constant.

She slowly approached the lamp and reached forward to move it aside, hoping she was just dreaming, maybe fallen asleep on her books. Though she just ate and never felt tired when she was supposed to be studying.

The fairy's eyes widened as the lamp was moved, for a moment, because she was still, she was visible.  A small glowing young woman, her hair done up in almost a victorian fashion, dressed in a square leaf that showed her figure underneath.  Quickly she darted to move behind some books, sticking her tongue out at the young woman as she did.

At first it wasn’t clear if the light along the wall was a reflection off a surface, or something else.  It’s movement was independent, jolting around as it seemed to see fit, looking at almost everything that was within reach, only seeming to realize the other was there after time had passed.

Stopping in her flight pattern, Tinker Bell - called this because of her profession of fixing pots and kettles - the fairy of Peter Pan - eyed the figure haughtily, fixing her hair as she debated whether any of the people were a threat to take away her boy.

Lost and Cross || open

Tinker bell had decided something simple, and it had the small fairy in a foul mood.  She didn’t like being away from Neverland.  She didn’t like being lost.  She wouldn’t admit to being lost, but she didn’t know where she was.  Fluttering from tree to tree, hidden in the branches, she had pulled the hair of people who reminded her of people who vexed her, she had kicked at people in passing, and only left confused adults and children with pixie dust on their clothes.

She had slept because she was tired, one thing a fairy can’t do is sleep when she isn’t sleepy, after all, so one had to sleep when she could, and had lost her boy.  She was his fairy, no matter what other’s said.

And he was gone.  

Huffing, the fairy moved her way through the branches, and flew the expanse to the next tree, arms crossed, feeling cross herself.

June thought she heard the lilting sounds of bells. Tinkling softly. Glancing up from her work, she tried to pinpoint the location of the sound. Did someone think it funny to start chiming bells in the campus library?

Tink was lost, and the fairy didn't want to admit it.  Probably wouldn't if she had her way.  Flickering between books on the shelves, and peering at the students, her contempt was threatening to take over.  She'd already pushed a few books over on students in the history section, she'd made a few resource books go missing under the shelves themselves from pushing for a good while.  They were grown ups, she didn't really like, grown ups.  She liked Peter.

Frowning as she noticed one young woman notice her sounds, she tilted her head, fluttering just out of sight and hiding behind a lamp, giggling a bell like tingle as she did.

He searched through the stuff for a second before he found his eyes wandering to the books; slowly giving a smirk when he noticed the small movement. A tiny movement, but it had been enough for him to sneak towards the books and suddenly pull the two books away to reveal the fairy. “Tinker Bell!” he spoke, giving a laugh. It truly was the fairy! No doubt about it, but how had she gotten here?

Tinker Bell jumped, bells seeming to shimmer in the air as she did, ready to dart in any direction, and sighing, looking put out that she was caught.  Shoulders drooping, pouting she kicked at his hand, starting to fly past him, the disappointment emotion taking over, over anything else at the moment.  She had lost, of all things!

“What’s wrong Tink?” Peter asked, his features becoming worried as he stepped towards the lamp. “You don’t have to be scared of me! I’m still me, Tink. Just.. older.” he said frowning. He knew she’d get upset if he saw her like this but he obvioudsly just didn’t look like the little boy he used to be anymore.

Tinker Bell took a step back, chin raising in defiance, slipping around the neck and staring at the other hard.  "You grew up." She stated, her voice almost accusing, yet tingling just as beautiful as ever.  "You said you wouldn't grow up.  You said you'd always be my boy."

He had been so convinced that he could just ignore her, wish her away and pretend she didn’t exist. For a few seconds, he was so sure she was just a mild hallucination, from what, he wasn’t about to guess, but it was better than to imagine he had a tinkling fairy with an attitude fluttering about. Of course, hearing her rummaging around, keeping a tab on what she was doing. His patience only lasted so long before it broke, closing the book again. “Stop that.” He scowled towards her.

The fairy did stop, mid-walking the globe, literally.  It only caused her to tumble back, fluttering through the air and catching herself, staring at the man for a moment, before giving a faint huff and fluttering towards the book, squeezing behind them again and making her way through the dust, moving the books to make room for her passage.  The fairy didn't even notice the thuds that followed as they hit the floor from losing their balance, poking bugs, peeking in spider webs.

He had to translate. 'She is not very polite. She says you are a great ugly girl, and that she is my fairy.' He tried to argue with Tink. 'You know you can't be my fairy, Tink, because I am a gentleman and you are a lady.' To this Tink replied in these words. 'You silly ass,' and disappeared into the bathroom. 'She is quite a common fairy,' Peter explained apologetically; 'she is called tinker Bell because she mends the pots and kettles.'

It was not really a light; it made this light by flashing about so quickly, but when it came to rest for a second you saw it was a fairy, no longer than your hand, but still growing. It was a girl called Tinker Bell, exquisitely gowned in a skeleton leaf, cut low and square, through which her figure could be seen to the best advantage. She was slightly inclined to embonpoint.

He raised an eyebrow towards the fairy in question, closing the door to the other room. “You invited yourself into my apartment, may I remind you. This is considered trespassing.” Oblivious to what the other was saying, although he was curious, Jasper took his seat once more, book in hand. “Quiet, now. You may leave when I decide to leave the room.”

There was a huff from the fairy in answer to the comment, deciding to ignore it as she moved from a framed picture to another, admiring herself in the reflection and smoothing her hands over her hips.  It was almost a challenge, one that the fairy felt need to live up to.  Shoulders going rigid, she moved towards the door to the new room, landing on the floor and looking around the crack, over to the exits of the room, checking for edges, for ways out.  She wasn't used to buildings like this, not really.  The last place she had seen any semblance like it was the Captain's ship, and that was only when they were fighting Hook.  

She was at a loss.  The next steps were simple, behind the books on the shelves, looking in boxes, the pixie flying and fluttering wherever she could.

Peter jumped around to face Tink as she pinched him and he chuckled happily. She always liked to play games with him, and pinching and playing about was always one of them. “Tink! Where have you been? I’ve been looking all over for you!” Peter said. He wondered though, if she had noticed that he was older than when they had last met. But maybe.. maybe no matter what, he would always be a little boy in the pixie’s eyes. Well, that’s what he hoped.

The fairy lingered, eyes curious on the other, it slowly seeming to dawn on her that he was different.  Too tall, too dark haired, too- too- not Peter.  Fear taking over as the ruling emotion, she fluttered back, moving behind a lampshade and staring at the other around it.  Not defensive, confused and afraid for a moment, eyes darkening, steadily becoming a little more of a threat.  A little more of a defensive pixie that might lash out that someone was like her boy, and not him.

Eva watched and wondered if she could follow Tinkerbell, yet thought that if she did, then the fairy would be provoked. She took a chance and carefully followed.

The fairy was a simple fairy.  One used to things of quality- yet not so high that she did not appreciate the things in the room.  Walking carefully around a pen, she nudged it with her foot, jumping at the shadow that fell over her, and turning with wide eyes to see Eva again.  Jumping back a little, this time her eyes narrowed, arms crossed, seeming to ask what she wanted.

He turned his head once more; convinced that he had seen a light fluttering to another lamp, making his eyes widen. Was he losing his mind again, or was she truly here? But it had been years. Neverland had all but forgotten about him so how was it possible? “Ouch, hey!” he uttered when he felt the yank to his hair, quickly moving a hand up, only to find his fingers grasping into thin air. She had hidden once more. It was then that he rose to his feet; moving a few stuff around to find her. “Tink, you cheeky little thing..!”

The fairy quickly moved behind the books, squeezing between the wall of the bookshelf and the books, flushing with frustration as she came across one that was pushed all the way to the wall.  It was hindering on her fun.   And she only had so much time before he'd find her again and the game of hide and go seek she felt they were playing would end.  Pushing at the book slowly, carefully, trying not to draw attention to it, she giggled again as she squeezed past it, trying to get to the end of the row before he could notice.
