"Then why the hell did you move out here with me in the first fucking place?!"

“I wish I never did!” The words flew out of her mouth before she realized she had spat them. Snapping her jaw shut, Kagome curled her fists tight against her side, forbidding the tears to spill down her flushed cheeks.

Inuyasha's eyes widened, the usual bright honey of his iris darkening to molten amber. "So that's how it's going to fucking be now, Kagome?"

Unable to stop the tears any longer, Kagome spun on her heel, grabbed her purse to storm out. With her hand on the door knob, Inuyasha growled, “I won’t be here when you get home!”

“You never are.” She whispers, swinging open the door and slamming it shut behind her, rattling the frames on the wall in the wake of her fury.

Standing in the living room, Inuyasha debated on whether he should run after her or give her some space, but the high screech of his pager shook him from his thoughts. "Damn it." Grabbing his stethoscope and bag, Inuyasha headed for work, through the same door his girlfriend just slammed.

If he knew what was in store for him that night, he would have ran after Kagome when he had the chance.

An InuKag Romance/Angst fanfic to get my ass out of this writing slump I've been in for the past 3.5 years. I have several stories in store for those who care, 🤣 one in which I have 6 chapters started, as well as some rewrites from stories I posted and never finished.

I had a rough time from 2016 to 2019 and of course 2020 has fucked us every way possible, but I'm back. If you're still with me, just know I appreciate it more than you will ever realize.

LONG INUKAG FANFICS ♥

Felt like making a list of fics from my ultimate favorite fanfic writer Sueric. I don’t think she’s active anymore tho. But she’s left us with these gems! Ranking according to what I preferred most. Linking the fics as well!

1. Purity -  It’s about Kagome purifying the jewel by wishing Kikyo back to life, thinking it was what Inuyasha wanted. 

- This fic was a bit dragging at the start since there was a lot of adjusting in Inuyasha’s part because of his new environment at the beginning of the story BUT it is definitely worth reading as you go along. It’s practically a light read filled with so much fluff and a few lemons, too.

2. Metamorphosis - The story revolves around Kagome offering to be a surrogate mother for Miroku and Sango because they can’t have children of their own. Also, Inuyasha falls victim to a youkai’s toxins wherein he has dreams/fantasies about Kagome every single night so he ends up distancing himself. Also, in Inuyasha’s eyes, the youkai looks like Kagome. How can he fight someone who looks and smells exactly like her? 

- The story was well thought out. You really have to read it all to get the full experience of its greatness. Love their character development. Fluff fluff and a few lemons, as well. 

3. Chronicles - This one’s about a new quest, a search for a missing book I believe (if I remember correctly) belonged to Inuyasha’s mother. 

- Tiny Spoiler: I liked this fic too but some parts of the story just don’t sit well with me, I guess. Maybe like the fact Kagome allows Inuyasha to read her diary... in front of her.. all the time. I don’t know I just find that part weird. Also, at the end, they adopted Shippou which I also find odd since I think Inuyasha and Kagome act more of an older brother/sister. Anyway, that’s just me! I still liked this because of the great writing. It’s really long tho.

4. Torrent - About Inuyasha and Kagome’s unexpected pregnancy. 

- I remember this was a bit of an angsty read at the start. With fluff and lemon! 

5. Out of Time - For this story, the whole gang ends up being in Kagome’s time!

- Don’t remember much about this but I believe I liked it too. I like everything Sueric writes!

*** These are all great reads I swear! From what I remember they were all canon. I re-read the first two a lot of times. They are that great ♥ On-point characterization. Wonderfully written. Engaging story-telling. Believable character/relationship development. With fluff and appropriately placed lemons!

To be honest, as much as I’ve dreamed of getting even a glimpse of what happened with Inuyasha and Kagome after they defeated Naraku and eventually settled down to get married, I am actually feeling a little bit scared now that there really will be a continuation for their story. 

I’ve seen the show quite a few times and I guess what bothers me is now the idea of the happy ending they deserved and eventually have gotten might turn into something else.

I hope the spin off will give justice to the greatness that is Inuyasha :)

Things I like about this scene from the manga:

1. Inuyasha automatically protecting Kagome.

2. Then, he worries for Kikyo because he also wants her safe.

3. Kikyo not caring about anything. She’s like “I can handle this myself”

4. Kohaku basically using himself as shield to protect Kikyo.
