I’m trying to help my mother raise money to be able to visit my brother at Harvard.
To fully explain the situation: my younger brother, Fransisco graduated valedictorian of his class and received a much sought-after Harvard acceptance, along with a full-ride scholarship through his exemplary grades and hard work. This achievement is compounded by the fact that Fransisco is the first in his family to go to university.
Due to financial limitations, sending Fransisco off from our home town of Houston was all my mother could do to see off her youngest, it broke her heart not being able to at least take him to the campus and make sure he settled.
However - in a few weeks, Harvard is having a Parent’s Weekend. This event falls on Fransisco’s birthday, and provides a lovely opportunity to reunite mother and son. I am trying by any means to get her to Boston, and we’d appreciate any help we can get - this is one of those situations where every penny helps.
