You are my sunshine.
âSettle your heart, child, your time will come. One of these days you will meet eyes with someone who makes you feel so at home in the world you will think to yourself, Ah, there you are.â
â Beau Taplin ⢠A  P a t i e n t  H e a r tÂ
i understand why vampires traditionally look dead but for my own purposes iâve always preferred the opposite. they look too alive, as though every part of them is trying to convince you that theyâre human. that they can be trusted. their cheeks are flushed like a painted dollâs, almost unnerving. all the saturation turned up, creating richer dark tones and brighter lights. their eyes look glossy, teary, emotional but glass-like. their appearances compensate for what they donât have and as a result theyâre just curious enough to intrigue you, like an uncanny painting whose eyes follow you as you walk through the museum, persuading you to return once more before you go just to ponder, when in reality theyâre like a frog in the rainforest, poison but incredibly beautiful.
when your therapist says something and youâre like âlol yeahâ and then youâre like âhmmm maybe that makes senseâ and then you mostly forget about it, and then 3 months later youâre like âOH NO, SHE WAS RIGHTâ

You left too soon, Sitka. Your brothers need your guidance.
