i think i may have been too hard on season 3 back in 2019. literally created this blog just for complaining about it. the more i rewatch, the more i think it was actually fine. of course it was hell living through the constant back and forth and no sign of life from david, but we call it hell week for a reason and in hindsight it makes sense the way they set the season up. and matteo stumbling upon outdated definitions (and in turn having the word "transsexual" along with weird explanations broadcasted to the entire audience) really sucked but it might just have been realistic in 2019, unfortunately? still that's obviously not okay.

season 4 though... i wasn't hard enough lmao. they did amira so dirty. making the first episode of the season about the abiball, sure. but then taking away even more of the screentime that should have belonged to her and mohammed just so we get the random mia pov? what was the point? just so everyone in the youtube comments who exhibited microaggressions against amira for the entire season could be like "yay, finally we get to see our favourite white couple winterberg again 🥺🥰"???
