You were getting ready for bed early since you had plans with your husband, Joshua, for your birthday afternoon. As midnight approached, you wondered where Joshua was, but you dismissed it and prepared to sleep.

Just as you were getting into bed, Joshua suddenly opened the door.

“Surprise!” he said, holding a small cake.

“Joshua? I thought we were having lunch tomorrow. I didn’t expect you to plan something else,” you said, walking towards him, shocked but touched.

He placed the cake down and pulled you into a hug. “I wasn’t going to wait until then. I wanted to make your birthday special for you this year.”

Joshua lit the candles and started singing “Happy Birthday” softly. You blew out the candles and said, “You’re so sweet, Shua,” looking at him affectionately.

“Anything for you, my love,” he replied, kissing the crown of your head.

Oh, how lucky you were to have him.
