Try clicking the join channel button and clicking on learn more it should take you to the YouTube/Google help center

Next go to the opt-in to gift memberships and try going to gift settings link and try from there I managed to opt out from there but I’m a mobile user and it might work a tad different from there but I’ve also been able to opt in and out afterwards
