when everyone else is having a lit summer and you’re just at home watching your fav tv series like
Does anyone know how to cut a sugar glider’s nails??? I have a nail trimming wheel for mine but they’re still too sharp. And the closest vet that handles sugar gliders is almost an hour away. Please help!!!!! I’ll love you forever
Like a boss....
But seriously, buy a nail clipping pouch or....
Wrap a sleepy glider in some fleece. Gently take a leg out. Gently squeeze the pad of the paw. That makes the toes spread for easy clipping. Make sure the gliders head is covered by fleece to avoid getting bit. You can also use light fleece gloves to avoid getting bit if you don't want to cover their head. When they crab or go for a bite, give them a few seconds and keep going. Don't worry if you miss one or two nails during the whole process. You can always go back later
Admittedly, my favorite out of five sugar gliders is very chill about it. Usually I just freehand clip without fleece in the way. The other four get the fleece. You want them wrapped but not strangled or stressed
(1/2) Hello! Unfortunately, my suggies recently bred (I had an appointment with the vet to get them fixed, but they mated before I could get them in). The babies came out of their mother's pouch a little bit over a month ago.
You can handle them right away. Small periods at first. Suz sugar glider has a list of week by week holding They start weaning themselves with their parents help. They are usually all weaned by 8 weeks but should stay with parents until 9 or 10 weeks. It's not a good idea to separate before thenIf they are all standard, it may be a little hard to tell them apart. Knowing weights can help identify. Also, sorry if this is an old message. I'm just now seeing it
Happy 4th birthday to my sweet little KIWI <3
He got his usual birthday cake and new toy ;u;. He tried crawling into it while I was taking photos LMFAO!
Some of our babies enjoying tent time. We stayed in the tent for about two hours. Iroh and pabu are new, so we watched the Simpsons so they could climb around without us focusing on them

Just wanted to let followers now, we have changed our name. This blog is now more reflective of what we represent, which is a small hobby breeder. Most of our pictures are of our joeys, with a few from our adults. I am still available to answer any questions concerning sugar gliders. My goal is to educate on the proper care of gliders, regardless of whether you ever purchase a joey from SPG.
