Throwback Thursday! 2011 – OC Ellie in a @copicmarker piece created for my friend’s charity doujinshi to raise money for the Aomori region of Japan that was hit by the great tsunami. They are famous for their delicious apples.

Playing with Manga Studio 5 for the first time turned into a colored experiment “speed paint”. This is Kira, an OC that’s been kicking around in my head for years. I modeled my BJD after her human form back in 2008, but the design for this form finally descended upon me during a Purity Ring concert last summer. :) First time I’ve drawn her like this! ...And I think it’s actually the first time I’ve shared a drawing of her online at all. ORZ I’m sure she’ll see some refinements in the future.
