The most unique and greatest thing about gintama is that unlike other shonen it doesn’t pressure you or glorify the fact that you have to be the best and the main character isn’t some kind of prodigy it’s just this guy who has lost everything and doesn’t want it to happen again like sometimes u don’t have to go on some big adventure and become the ruler of a new world or find a hidden treasure or to find out you’re some kind of prodigy/ prophet sometimes you don’t have to save the world sometimes it’s ok to just save what’s in front of you it’s not necessarily a bad thing to be complacent…imo
