To everyone asking me how I do my lips: This method is pretty much it. A few additions though:

Sometimes I use long stay lipstick or a good lip lacquer before lining the lips to ensure there will still be colour underneath if the top coats come off.

If I’m making a shape that is smaller than my lips, I use an eyeliner close to the colour of my skin to slightly even out the colour of the lips before starting.

To make the transition look better, I sometimes use eye shadow to blend the lip liner and the lipstick together.
