So I know people have done analysis of the Afton family's names, but I haven't seen anyone talk about the implications of William being the one too name his children.

Every afton child's name (assuming that we go with Evan for CC) has a relationship to God within it. I think it's safe to assume that William sees himself as a God so I think it would be interesting if he named his children with that in mind.

Right off the bat we have "who can stand with God" Michael. As the first son Michael would theoretically inherit Williams place in society, household, all that stuff once William dies. In naming him Michael William is already saying that Michael will never be able to compare to him. And obviously with his search for immortality he will never give up that head of the household spot to Michael.

Next he names Elizabeth a follower of God because she will be his perfect daddy's girl. She will be loyal to him and she will follow him. He names her with this expectation in mind.

Finally God is good Evan. Now once he's had a son and a daughter William has achieved his perfect nuclear family and he does not need any more kids. Having more kids doesn't serve him in the same way that having Michael and certainly Elizabeth did. It wouldn't surprise me if William saw giving life to and raising Evan as a purely charitable act on his part and naming Evan justly.

I just saw a comment that said "remember AI wants humanity to destroy itself" and like NO! Ai doesn't WANT anything, it is not conscious, it is not alive! IT CAN NOT WANT OR FEEL ANYTHING, IT IS A COMPUTER!!!

I know I shouldn't be THIS upset about this, but something I've been noticing more and more is anti AI people using language that humanize it. Even saying stuff like saying "it wants" instead of "it's designed to" really worries me. It fells like this weird backwards way for anti ai people to fall into/affirm some level of ai psychosis.

I don't know maybe I'm worrying over nothing but it's just weird to me when people assign supposed values to AI or attribute the harm caused by AI to the AI on a personal feeling level instead of blaming the people that design and run it.

So I just finished a Moriarty the Patriot rewatch, And I'm thinking about the part where sherlock commits murder to protect John's marriage.

All I can think about is how sherlocks conviction towards making sure john gets married is because Sherlock himself will never be able to. At least if we accept that he's in love with William.

Now all I want to see is a fanfic where a gay Sherlock comes out to a straight John. I don't even care what version of Sherlock it is as long as its not a modern au! ( Because coming out in the 1800s is a lot different than coming out in 2026)

This is so hard, I don't like not knowing things so I don't typically like going into games blind.

I never got to experience dokidoki literature club blind so that could be a strong contender. Just to see how I would react. But the only game I would play blind a second time would have to be bioshock, it's famous for its plot twist for a reson and I'd love to experience that shock again!

See the problem with looking put together is that there's no one to see that I'm cutting corners on self-care, so I know I need to take better care of myself, but I'm the only person who can see that. Now I'm the only person who can tell me to take better care of myself and I juat dont have enough intrinsic motivation to do that. 😭
