Suigetsu never pegged himself for the type to eventually marry. He wasn't too fond of the idea of settling down and raising a family, he was perfectly happy by himself to be quite honest. But in this situation he wasn't exactly given a choice, so instead he'd decided to swallow his pride and make nice with his new partner to avoid any unnecessary conflict. He didn't like the prospect of being forced into a marriage, and he was pretty sure that this Yukito guy wouldn't be too thrilled about it either, so why make things harder for both of them?
He'd arranged for them to meet outside the city walls by a lake, an ideal location for him should the situation turn sour. After all, he had no idea what kind of person Yukito was. For all he knew, he could've been a master assassin in his previous life. It was better that they met somewhere secluded just to be safe. Despite his fears, Suigetsu had chosen to leave his Executioners Blade at home in case Yukito was some kind of pacifist or had some irrational fear of large swords. Yes, he'd put a lot of thought into this meeting indeed.
He stood along the bank, arms crossed, grinding his sharp teeth anxiously. He had no problem talking to people, but he was a little fidgety at talking to someone he'd call his husband. Maybe if he treated it like a joke it would help... but that would be going under the assumption that Yukito would have a sense of humor. Did he really wanna run that risk?
At the sound of footsteps hitting grass, he started sweating. Yes. Yes he did wanna run that risk. Humor was his only coping method, and he needed it now more than ever. With a strained grin, he turned to the approacher.
"Hey there, hope you didn't have too much trouble finding this place!. I'm Suigetsu, nice to meet ya," He then met the others gaze, maintaining god-like composure as he prepared his next line, "I gotta ask... did it heaven when you fell from hurt?"
Wait, what? No. No that wasn't right. That was really wrong. He blew it. They'd just met and he already wanted a do-over. Unbelievable.
