What a difference a few days makes to the leaves of my favorite tree. It’s bare all winter and then it comes back fast. Thursday to today.

Did a flyby today of Mt. St. Helens, on my way down to Portland. I would’ve loved to get this close to Mt. Rainier. 🥰

This garden bed was a beast to put together, but I had help, as usual.

We watched the whole game together! Except Buddy hated the whistles and was having a panic attack and I had to mute most of the time, but that was really exciting!

Every time I see this I lose my marbles I love it so much. "For some reason I yelled who is in here as I was falling" is the point where my soul leaves my body. God I love.

We’re both watching the action across the street. Another house being torn down. So far, it’s been more of a dismantling than a teardown. 

Will be interesting to see what ends up there. From property records it doesn’t look like it’s gonna be too big. Hopefully not like the monstrosity that ended up nextdoor to me. 😳

My very first post in December of 2007. I didn’t get the usual happy anniversary graphic, so I almost forgot. This month/year marks 18 years on Tumblr! I’m not as active as I used to be, but I doubt I’ll ever give it up entirely. And look at all those old usernames who are long gone. But not forgotten. 💝

In the six years that I’ve lived in my little house I’ve had a live tree, a silver tree, and a pink tree.

This is what I’m down to now. It’s about all I can muster.

Every few weeks Buckley finds a new place to sleep. Currently it’s this planter. (I’m going to repot that plant behind it. ) It’s especially funny to watch him get into it. He’s pretty smart. He’s learned that it tips, so he knows to overcompensate and put more weight on the far side as he climbs in, to correct the tip.

He stays in there all day. I love it when he pokes his head up. 💕💕🥰

He’s old and a tad frail by now and I will let him have anything he wants. Whipped cream from pumpkin pie? No brainer.

Portland was lovely. I miss it already.

Also, the best General Tso’s chicken and dry sautéed string beans I’ve ever had.

I’m headed down to war torn Portland on the train this weekend to see my sis. Making sure Buddy’s all sweet smelling for my friend Denise who loves staying here to watch Buddy and Buckley while I’m gone. It’s just the best!
