The Ghoul sheathed his knife, crimson droplets flecking the cobblestones under their feet.

"You got quite the set of peepers on ya," the Mayor replied mildly, his own black eyes taking in Nora.

"Don't let this incident taint your view of our little community," the Mayor continued. "Goodneighbor's of the people, for the people, you feel me?"

Being warmly welcomed to town by a man who'd just gutted someone was a contradiction so absurd Nora found herself smiling.

"I feel you."
