It’s not that Mike didn’t love Harvey because God did he ever. In fact he was sure Harvey was it for him that he would never love another person the way that he did that man. But sometimes love just wasn’t enough.
He knew that Harvey loved him too. Logically he did. But Harvey was terrified of his feelings. He rarely ever acknowledged them let alone spoke about them. Mike could literally count on one hand the number of times Harvey had said those three little words to him.
Criticisms and forceful pushes where what Harvey did best. He protected Mike shielded him yet at the same time forced him out. Knowing that Mike could be the best and molding him to be that person, that lawyer. It was how he showed he cared. At work it’s what made them the best but at home it was breaking them apart day by day.
They couldn’t separate home and work. And Mike had come to realize that one would have to go. He had to make a choice and he couldn’t stop working with Harvey. He couldn’t give that up. They where a team first. He didn’t know what they where without that.
Mike made his choice. That didn’t mean it didn’t break his heart to do so.
Absolution
Suddenly it was all just clear; how even before the arrest, the trial, the nightmare that is his life today he was on this path. The journey back to see Father Walker, the twinge of jealousy he didn’t want to admit when he saw how Trevor had turned his life around. It all came down to one thing, his desire to be free; his need for absolution. Wasn’t that what he was really looking for? This burden was his and his alone to bear and he was ready now. No more nights spent wondering when, not if, the other shoe would drop. No more looking over his shoulder. Mike knew what it would mean, knew what he would have to give up.
His eyes scan the courtroom briefly taking it all in, his dream; he then glances at Rachel, the woman who in another life would be perfect, before moving on. Then his site lands on Harvey, the man who gave him everything. This was the real price, but one he is willing to take on if it meant that Harvey would be free. All those years side by side, Mike wouldn’t trade them in for the world. Even if it cost him today tomorrow, the next two years, however long, it would have all been worth it to find him. He takes a deep breath and briefly closes his eyes. Decision made, he walks out the door without a glance back.
Harvey enters the courtroom eager to tell Mike that he may have found a way, that he believed in him, and that he always has. His eyes quickly scan the courtroom, taking it all in. For too many years this has been his second home, but it no longer matters. He is more than ready to give it all up, if it means saving Mike. When he asks Rachel where Mike is, her answer makes something in his gut drops, because he knows. He doesn’t know how, and frankly he doesn’t care, he just knows where Mike has gone and he can’t; he won’t let him give himself up for something that is his fault. But fate is fickle and luck can be cruel. If there was ever a day to steal a win, this would be it. He knows he won’t make it in time, but he refuses to give up. And when he finally makes it to the prosecutor’s office and sees Mike there his heart sinks. He knows the deal has been done.
“Mike, don’t” he pleads.
“It’s too late Harvey” the younger man answers with a sad smile.
“I’ll give you two a minute” Gibbs says smugly; walking out of her office.
“Please…This is my fault, all of it.” Harvey chokes out.
“This is on me Harvey. I won’t ruin you”.
Mike walks out of the office leaving Harvey alone with his thoughts.
Anger wells up behind un-shed tears and Harvey charges out of the office. He grabs Mike and drags him away from the elevators back to the stairs he just came up moments before.
“Dammit Mike!” he yells. “Don’t you get it? You have already ruined me. From the moment you walked in that interview I knew I was lost. I tried to fight it, tried to hide it, but I have and still would do anything for you.”
Harvey reaches up to Mikes face under his chin so he can look him dead in the eye as he says the words he has never spoken aloud, never wanted to admit to himself until this very moment. The truth settles deep in his soul so crystal clear that he no longer doubts it, and more importantly, no longer fears it. “You have ruined me, ruined me for anyone else. I love you.”
Mike is silent, his brain mush. He slowly lifts his hands to cup the face of the man standing in front of him. “I love you too” he whispers before placing a small chaste kiss upon the older man’s lips. He looks up to stare into the dark brown eyes he has come to know so well. “Do you trust me?” Mike asks using one of Harvey’s signature lines.
“Always” comes Harvey’s reply.
“Then trust me now. Let me do this” He implores.
“I can’t lose you, Harvey cries.
“You won’t. I promise. I am yours. I always will be.” he whispers before pulling him in close.

Memory Of A Kiss
Lost in his thoughts, Harvey stared unseeing out of the glass front of his office, his work long forgotten.
Warm hands enveloped both sides of his head as they pulled him down. Full soft lips tenderly yet firmly against his own. Moist breaths shared as lips reluctantly parted.
Mike’s kiss.
Harvey couldn’t seem to escape the tendrils of his memory. They curled their way around his heart and mind, so neither would ever forget.
“… a black eye, an injured jaw, it looks like two or more broken ribs – we’re not sure yet and a broken finger. At the moment we have sedated him for the pain but…”
The doctor was still continuing talking in an apologetic but ultimately detached tone, but Harvey had stopped listening. He felt Donna move beside him, heard her say something to the doctor.
“Where’s his messenger bag?” Harvey interrupted Donna’s talk with the doctor, his voice tight and carefully controlled; hiding the dark storm of feelings inside his chest.
“I’ll go find it”, Donna offered; clapping a hand briefly to Harvey’s shoulder.
The attorney did not reply, forcing himself to stand still, his jaw clenching and hands clench into fists. Someone had hurt Mike, someone had put him into hospital and that’s not acceptable. Ever since he had gotten the call telling him that the younger man had been found beaten and barely conscious on a street near his home, fear and fury had been battling for supremacy within him. Now that he knows Mike’s injuries weren’t life threatening he gave into the latter. But first he needed information’s.
After a while Donna returned with Mike’s messenger bag and phone. “He was on a date, right?” Harvey asks, trying to hide his shaking voice as he grabbed the things from Donna. He quickly enters the password, to easy Mike he thought, while looking in the messenger bag, already deducing everything he found.
“Yes”, Donna answered, “he mentioned his name towards Louis. Alex Miller, you think the guy…?”
“I think Mike was with him and next thing happend we get a call that he’s in hospital.” Harvey said grimly, “I know where I’m going first.” He fired a short text to one of his informants from the police, and within minutes he got back the information he needed.
“Got him.” Without a backward glance Harvey turned and strode towards the exit. Donna’s voice called him back.
“Harvey!” He hesitated, turning to meet Donna’s concerned gaze. “Whatever you do”, she said “remember you’re going to tell him about it when he wakes up.”
Harvey gritted his teeth, his fists clenched at his sides but he nodded curtly. “I know. Please stay with him Donna till I get back.”
She nodded, her eyes soft with emotion. “Like you have to ask.”
Harvey quickly climbed in the waiting car with Ray behind the steering wheel, and during the ride to Alex Miller’s apartment his thoughts are racing. He wanted the person who had hurt Mike to know that he Harvey Specter was exacting revenge on his behalf. It was strange and illogical but Harvey knew he was very close to losing all reasons completely and taking the man’s life tonight.

Something for Harvey
Title: Something for Harvey Fandom: Suits (TV) Pairing: Mike Ross/Harvey Specter Summary: It’s nearly Valentine’s Day, two months after Mike and Harvey started officially dating. Now, the twins want to help Mike with a little something for Harvey.

“Are we going out on Sunday?” Raphy asks in the same hurried pace.
Mike’s brow furrow. “This Sunday? What’s happening this Sunday?” he muses more to himself, trying to remember if anything special will happen on that day but his mind draws a blank. He gives his children a skeptical look. “I don’t remember anything special about Sunday. Why don’t we do what we always do?”
“But daaaaad,” Raphy protests, giving Mike a stop being stupid look. Mike returns it two-fold.
“It’s February 14.” Jamie fills him in like he was stating the most obvious thing in the world.
“Huh,” Mike blinks dumbly. He rises to his elbows, legs still trapped beneath his sons, and eyes them questioningly. “Ehrm, okay…? So guys know the date…? And…?”
“It’s Valentine’s Day, dad,” Raphy tells him with a groan, “Vah-lehn-tynes!”
“Aren’t you going to do anything?” Jamie adds, poking Mike in the chest.
“For Harvey!” Raphy clarifies immediately. He looks and sounds moments away from bursting into song again. It’s a fact that his brother catches quickly. The twins’ eyes meet and their grins breaks their faces.
“Daddy and Harvey sitting in a—” they begin to sing but a glare from their dad shushes them.
“We saw you kissing!” Jamie points out matter-of-factly.
“Twice!” Raphy announces, making a weird face between disgusted and gleeful.
Mike tries and fails to stop his blush.
“We like him.” They say together.
Mike’s heart skips a beat at his sons’ confession.
Albeit it’s clear as day that the twins enjoy Harvey’s company, it’s the first time that one of them has admitted liking Harvey, he suspects, more than Brittany, Rosa, Katrina, or Rachel.
“You like him, huh?” He cannot help but smile like an idiot when he says it. “The same way you like Rosa, Britney, Katrina, or Rachel?”
“No,” Raphy shakes his head, “I like him. He’s my favorite.”
“Our favorite.” Jamie corrects, elbowing his brother, “Don’t be so selfish, Raphy!”
“Ah-huh,” Mike grins, chest thundering a million miles a minute. He feels like he’s about to burst with happiness at any moment but he steels himself. “Harvey’s your favorite, huh? You know what? He’s my favorite too.”
Jamie and Raphy’s expression could melt the polar ice caps.
“Okay,” Mike says using a hand to cover his embarrassingly heart-struck smile, “Do you guys want to do something with me for Harvey this weekend? We can do that. What do you guys want to do?”
“Okay, dad,” Jamie stares him in the eyes with a serious expression, “listen carefully.”
“We have an idea,” Raphy squeals and starts whispering into Mike’s ear.

Of course they have.
Now, normally this is the part where I leave the room, but almost looks like you want me to stay. Just so you know, we can’t watch or record anything that happens in here– attorney-client privilege and whatnot. But if you’re innocent of these charges, I’m sure you have nothing to fear, being alone in this room… with that man.
One episode a week is not enough to soothe my Suits lust.
