Status of this blog

As I’m sure most of you would know by now, Sungmin has decided to become married to Kim Sa Eun.

I won’t put my personal opinion into this post, but rest assured that sujusoju13.tumblr.com will continue running. However it will become slightly less Sungmin-centric, and more Suju-centric.

Ah, so it finally happened.

The day has come. Like all dreams, they must come to an end.

Firstly, I wish I could give each and every one of my fellow Sungmin stans (or ELFs) a big hug. We really need each other today.

It's okay to feel mad. To feel angry. To feel betrayed. To ask, "why did I ever start in the first place?"

It takes great courage to be understanding, to really accept it. If you've followed Sungmin for a long time, or even if he's touched you in some way, it takes time.

Sungmin has been a great friend of ours.

It has been a pleasure to see him grow.

And, if your friend was getting married, you would want him or her to be happy, to really look forward to the next stage of their lives.

I admit I didn't just look at the news and felt happy. It was a shock, to an extent. Slapped me out of my delusional world (haha), even though I had already been warned this was coming.

I agree Sungmin could have announced the news better, but that's the past now and nothing can change that.

If you decide to stay in the fandom, that's great. If you decide to leave, that's okay too.

But please, don't hate on anyone. I'm not a saint either, but it really shows our maturity as a fandom, and for those that are leaving, leave with a smile on your face.

At the end of the day, we just wish Sungmin happiness.

Sungmin, please be happy.

And everyone, please be happy too. We all deserve to be.

You not only answered my question but you also helped put my feelings into words.Super Junior has been a great source of strength and hapiness for my life and it’s about time that the members had someone in their private life who does the same which is why even when they get married and have kids, I will always support them. KS said in a interview about her upcoming drama that he was a burden and has been using his name to advertise her drama.I just hate seeing someone be used like that

How do you feel about the rumors that Sungmin is getting married? Like I love him and I want him to be happy but I just can't get over the fact that the other members don't even remember her name and she called Sungmin a burden. I don't want him to marry someone that thinks of him as a burden

Firstly, I honestly can’t put all my thoughts on Sungmin’s marriage in the 5 minutes I have to answer this (quick break at work) but I’ll give it a try:1) To start off with, I have been following Sungmin for the past seven years, so roughly a year or two into their debut. He wasn’t one of the members whom you notice immediately, but as you learn more about Super Junior, you become more and more fascinated by Sungmin because he’s such an interesting character. He’s very private, definitely not the best at variety, and personally I have always thought his real persona is quiet different from the (mostly) happy-go-lucky Sungmin he shows on tv. 2) I have always tried to ensure Suju does not take priority over my personal life. I follow them quietly, I admit I do not have all their albums, but I have always appreciated their presence. Therefore, although it may frustrate and make me slightly sad at first, Sungmin is ultimately his own person and I feel unjustified if I do not feel happy for him. He lives his life, I live mine and we both deserve happiness.3) At 28, personally I understand why Sungmin would think about marriage and settling down. Frankly, I would like to settle down at 26-28, and it’s strange to have thoughts like these when a few years back the only thought I had was to not f*ck up my uni papers. The reality is, you’re only young once, and your life should not be dictated by others’ expectations, even though I know some fans may have invested much more than I have. 4) However, what does slightly bother me is, like you said, the girl Sungmin has chosen. I can’t speak for everyone, but for me my first impression of her is less than ideal— I can’t deny the fact that she’s not using Sungmin at all. In saying that though, I have never thought Sungmin is a saint. Perhaps they have compatible personalities in reality. Because we never know what these people are really like— our perceptions of them may just be illusions created by their companies. 5) Your own life is much too precious to feel frustrated or to dwell on an idol’s personal affairs. The most important thing is to feel happy yourself. We all support Sungmin, but it’s important to draw a limit on how much we should ‘feel’ for the life he’s living, even though it may be hard. 6) One last small thing-- I haven't really thought about this, but at the moment I have decided I would feel weird if I stan a married man. If Sungmin does get married, I don't think I'll *actively* support him anymore with the reblogs etc. (for example). This is out of respect for his future wife too-- I know I would prefer not to have other girls constantly giving updates on my husband (not that I have one, but still) xD

Woah this is long, but I hope it gave you some insight into how I feel? I admit this rumour ‘shocked’ me at first, but I now respect that he’s his own person and my life takes priority over what he does with his (not meaning to sound rude, or anything.) I’m sorry if it’s a mess, I don’t have time to re-read what I’ve word-dumped up there >.>

So lately I've been hearing that Sungmin will get married December 13th of this year.

I would have brushed it off as a baseless rumour, however this time it's different in the sense that more people appear to support this statement and it has been said that K-ELFs have known but were trying to keep it quiet for the sake of his privacy.

[Sungmin’s Wonderful Day] That Day, What Happened at Wiki Cafe?

Ta-da! Can you guess where this place is? This is one of the hottest spot in Samcheongdong area, Wiki cafe. Wiki Cafe is located where you can have awesome view of Kyungbok palace and Nation Museum of Contemporary Art. The place has gotten popular in recent days through word-of-mouth with its refined interior and quiet location.

In the early morning one day, the street corner of Wiki Cafe was bustling with people. The cafe was soon packed with customers with no place to put one’s feet. The long line tailed back to the main street and even police officers were called upon to prevent possible traffics. What is going on?

Ta-da! Is this real? He is the flower boy Sungmin from ‘Super Junior’. He should’ve had wrap-up party after which had continued for three days, and why did he come to Jongro in the early morning? September 22 was Super Junior’s day-off after successfully finishing their 100th concert . Sungmin visited Samcheongdong to get rid of stress which has been built while preparing for the concert.

The first thing Sungmin did was to look around the cafe. From the lobby on the first floor, cafe on the second floor, and outdoor terrace on the third floor, he wandered around and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the cafe. He sipped iced Caramel Macchiato and took a look at outdoor terrace where he enjoyed the gentle autumn breeze.

Reporter: Sungmin, what do you want to eat the next time you visit Wiki Cafe? Sungmin: Hmm..I would like to have a chicken breast roll. This is the menu I recently enjoy myself since I’ve gained weight and have fat belly. It is not in the Cafe’s menu but it would be awesome to have chicken breast roll. Caramel Macchiato has too much calorie!

Of course, having a leisure time was never easy for Sungmin. Soon, fans from around the world including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Brasil, and Ecuador followed him around. However, the man of generosity Sungmin didn’t seem to be bothered with fans’ requests. He shook fans’ hands whom he has seen before, and signed his autographs to some extent.

Fan1: How is your eye trouble? Sungmin: It’s all better now!! Fan2: Oppa~ I really enjoyed your solo stage♡ Sungmin: You did? (Showing his index finger) I injured my finger while practicing drumming…ㅜ.ㅜ

Sungmin dropped by the cafe for a short break, but ended up staying for two hours due to fans’ support. He barely escaped from the place with the help of a male staff.

Reporter: Did you expect to see so many fans like this? Sungmin: No! Not at all~ㅜ.ㅜ Reporter: I’ve been curious since yesterday about your hairstyle at the concert…it is inspired by Snape from Sungmin: Snape? Reporter: Or it seems like ‘SHINee’ Taemin’s hair. Sungmin: No, this is inspired by Tsukasa..! Reporter: Tsukasa? Goo Joon Pyo? Sungmin: Not Goo Joon Pyo, but Tsukasa. Ha..hahaha;;;
