I have a question.
if you see el/ga as endgame in the next books, will you still read it? because I've seen a lot of comments from el/ga shippers saying they'll leave the fandom or stop reading the books...so I'm just curious.

I have a question.

I feel like Tamlin’s fans just have to accept that he’s disliked and they haven’t done that yet which is why so many arguments are happening.
They thought that them being loud means that he’s gaining more fans but what they don’t realize is that they’re just a loud minority. In this fandom Tamlin is still a largely disliked character. If not the most hated character. He’s grouped in with the villains of this series and it’s basically the status quo for readers to stop liking him after Acotar because it’s happened so many times that even big brand accounts and celebrities joke about “the switch from Tamlin to Rhys”.
He’s not a well liked character a all. He’s “liked” in the small space that exists in every fandom where a group of people go against the norms simply for the sake of going against the norms. Even within his own fandom he’s not loved like Feyre, Rhys, or Nesta are loved within theirs. A lot of the love for Tamlin is centered around hate for other characters.
It’s silly to see so many of his fans get upset when he’s excluded from things because it just goes to show their inability to read a room. And there is no space for Tamlin in this one. He’s not a character that is obligated to be included in anything. He’s not a main character and as of Acosf he’s not even sharing the same important as other side characters. Gwyn and Emerie who have one book of screen time managed to be explored more in that one book and gained more relevance within this fandom than Tamlin who has been known since the start of this series.
I’m going to touch your hand when I say this. He’s nothing to the author and nothing to a lot of readers as well. You really just have to accept that and start acting accordingly.
Let's do some logic, children!
We have three sisters; Feyre, Nesta, Elain
And three brothers; Rhysand, Cassian, Azriel
Each of the sister has two friends, which makes them three too!
Feyre has Morrigan and Amren,
Nesta has Emerie and Gwyneth,
Elain has Nuala and Cerridwen
These friends are connected to each brother who pairs with each sister!
Feyre makes pair with Rhysand! And her friends are the members of the Inner Circle and Second-In-Command and Third-In-Command to the High Lord of the Night Court!
Nesta makes pair with Cassian! And her friends are the Valkyrie warriors trained by the Illyrian General Commander of the Night Court armies!
Elain makes pair with Azriel! And her friends are the spies of the Night Court trained by the Spymaster of the Night Court!
Very easy, right?
"I want helion to find out how the inner circle treat lucien, I'm sure he'll be so mad!"
same helion who wants to fuck the entire inner circle? hmmm.
I actually love that when people add "archeron" to the end of rhysand's name. because he would definitely take feyre's last name.
You don’t have to like Rhysand and Feyre, but downplaying and denying their trauma just makes you look ridiculous.
●Rhysand was abused and raped by Amarantha for 50 years
●Feyre was severely neglected by her own family.
●Feyre went through absolute hell Under the Mountain while she was still human, and she literally died.
●Tamlin was toxic and abusive—he restricted her freedom, refused to let her train, and literally locked her away.
To deny these facts is utter nonsense. These aren't just plot points; they are their core traumas. No one in this fandom invalidates what Nesta went through—everyone takes her trauma seriously. Yet, the moment anyone else’s trauma is brought up, the narrative suddenly shifts to 'well, it wasn't actually that bad,' 'Feyre is exaggerating,' or 'Rhysand is lying.' The double standard is exhausting.
Hello, Feyre, darling
reminder that this girl threw a shoe at the most powerful high lord just because he pissed her off. now they're married and have a lovely child.
antis dictionary
'feyre is unreliable': I don't like what's written in the book. so I'll just use the parts that suit my theories.
'I read between the lines': actually, the book doesn't say anything like that, I just made this shit up and interpreted the sentences as I wanted. oh, and the characters might be lying who knows🧐
'acofas is not that important, you can skip it': canon text isn't feed my delusion, so I'll pretend it doesn't exist.
'I'm a heavy critical analysis-contextual evidence reader': I will disregard the things that are right in front of my eyes in the book, assign my own meanings to the words, and fit them into the story in my head.
please stop confusing your own opinions with what's actually written in the book, it looks pathetic💓💓
I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the people who strongly dislike the Inner Circle tend to be E/ucien or G/ynriel supporters. More broadly their admiration for Lucien and Tamlin often seems rooted in a version of the story that differs significantly from what Sarah has actually written so far.
That leads me to believe that many of them will continue to be disappointed by future books. Personally I enjoy Sarah’s work. I like the direction she has taken the story, and I’m satisfied with what she has written so far. Because of that I expect I’ll continue to enjoy future books as well.
So when people who have spent years criticizing the books insist that the story will eventually validate all of their preferred theories, I think they’re mistaken. If the narrative hasn’t supported those expectations up to this point, there’s little reason to assume it suddenly will in the future.
those who say azriel only wants elain for sex or he just lusts for her...that's what lucien thought the second time he saw her. so...I think you should stop being hypocritical when it comes to your fav.
my favorite thing about the inner circle? they all hate tamlin💅🏻💅🏻
Feyre-Elain's moments that make me sob
Rereading changed my view on Elain so much. I'm so grateful to her for these sisterhood moments 😩💞
It still hadn’t stopped me from buying her seeds for the flower garden she tended in the milder months, whenever I could afford it.
And it hadn’t stopped her from buying me three small tins of paint — red, yellow, and blue — during that same summer I’d had enough to buy the ash arrow.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 2
«Feyre, you should have told us!» Elain said, still gaping. «Oh, how awful — and you had to endure losing her all on your own, you poor thing.»
— ACOTAR, Chapter 27
«Come inside. We’ll show you the house! We don’t have a room decorated for you, because we thought you’d be with poor old Aunt Ripleigh for months yet, but we have so many bedrooms that you can sleep in a different one each night if you wish!»
— ACOTAR, Chapter 27
Instead I spent most of my time with Elain in her little garden. I was content to listen to her talk about every bud and bloom, about her plans to start another garden by the greenhouse, perhaps a vegetable garden, if she could learn enough about it over the next few months.
She had come alive here, and her joy was infectious. There wasn’t a servant or gardener who didn’t smile at her, and even the brusque head cook found excuses to bring her plates of cookies and tarts at various points in the day. I marveled at it, actually — that those years of poverty hadn’t stripped away that light from Elain. Perhaps buried it a bit, but she was generous, loving, and kind — a woman I found myself proud to know, to call sister.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 29
I gazed again at that sad, dark house — the place that had been a prison. Elain had said she missed it, and I wondered what she saw when she looked at the cottage. If she beheld not a prison but a shelter — a shelter from a world that had possessed so little good, but she tried to find it anyway, even if it had seemed foolish and useless to me.
She had looked at the cottage with hope; I had looked at it with nothing but hatred. And I knew which one of us had been stronger.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 29
My father murmured his praises to Elain, who beamed at him and rested her head on his shoulder. And I was happy for them — for the comfort and ease of their lifestyle, for the contentment on both my father’s and my sister’s faces. Yes, they had their small sorrows, but both of them seemed so… relaxed.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 30
But I tried to smile, if only for Elain, who flitted about the room, personally greeting each guest and dancing with all their important sons.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 31
I wrapped my arms around her. «Be on your guard. All of you.»
She nodded, tears in her eyes. «I would have liked to see the continent with you, Feyre.»
I smiled at my sister, memorizing her lovely face, and wiped her tears away. «Maybe someday,» I said. Another promise that I’d be lucky to keep.
— ACOTAR, Chapter 31
Something in my chest broke at Elain’s voice from the hall behind her.
At the sweetness and youth and kindness, untouched by Prythian, unaware of what I’d done, become —
I backed away a step. I couldn’t do this. Couldn’t bring this upon them.
Then Elain’s face appeared over Mrs. Laurent’s round shoulder.
Beautiful — she’d always been the most beautiful of us. Soft and lovely, like a summer dawn.
Elain was exactly as I’d remembered her, the way I’d made myself remember her in those dungeons, when I told myself that if I failed, if Amarantha crossed the wall, she’d be next. The way she’d be next if the King of Hybern shattered the wall, if I didn’t get the Book of Breathings.
— ACOMAF, Chapter 23
Elain lifted her teacup. «Whatever the reason, Feyre, we are happy to see you. Alive.»
— ACOMAF, Chapter 23
She put a hand on Nesta’s knee, the purple of my sister’s gown nearly swallowing up the ivory hand. «Feyre gave and gave — for years. Let us now help her. Help… others.»
— ACOMAF, Chapter 23
«Please,» I begged the king, who motioned Elain to be shoved into the water. «Please, I will do anything, I will give you anything.»
— ACOMAF, Chapter 65
Swift revenge helped no one and nothing but my own, roiling rage.
Even if every time I spoke to them, I heard Elain’s sobbing as she was forced into the Cauldron.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 1
Ianthe lifted her head, scanning my unsure, if not a bit aloof, face. «So you could be with them forever. And if Lucien had discovered that Elain was his mate beforehand, it would have been… devastating to realize he’d only have a few decades.»
The sound of Elain’s name on her lips sent a snarl rumbling up my throat.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 1
I cut in, «If Elain is not up for it, then she won’t see him. I won’t force the meeting on her. But he does wish to see her, Nesta. I’ll ask on his behalf, but the decision will be hers.»
— ACOWAR, Chapter 15
Elain had always been gentle and sweet — and I had considered it a different sort of strength. A better strength. To look at the hardness of the world and choose, over and over, to love, to be kind. She had been always so full of light.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 15
I said, watching the space where my friends had vanished from the town house, «I need you to understand, Elain, that if this goes badly… if he tries to harm you, or any of us…»
«I know. You will defend your own.»
«I will defend you.»
— ACOWAR, Chapter 49
I stood. Met Azriel’s wrathful stare.
«I’m going with you,» I said.
Azriel only nodded.
«You’ll never get far enough into the camp,» Cassian warned.
«I’m going to walk right in.»
— ACOWAR, Chapter 64
Before I could turn back, Elain threw her arms around me. I did not remember when I began to cry as I felt those slender arms hold me, tight as steel.
I did not remember the healer who patched me up, or how Rhys bathed me. How I told him what happened with Jurian, and Tamlin, Nesta hovering around Elain as Helion came to remove her chains, cursing the king’s handiwork, even as he admired its quality.
But I did remember lying down on the bearskin rug once it was done. How I felt Elain’s slim body settle next to mine and curl into my side, careful not to touch the bandaged wound in my shoulder. I had not realized how cold I was until her warmth seeped into me.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 65
I quietly asked the nearest camp-mother to dig up some platters of food for my sisters. Elain was likely starving, and I doubted Nesta had eaten anything during the hours we’d been gone.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 66
Elain faced me. «Do we help her?»
I fiddled with the end of my braid. «Yes — but not today. Not tomorrow.» I loosed a breath. «When — when she’s ready.» When we were ready, too.
Elain nodded, smiling up at me, and it was tentative joy — and life that shone in her eyes. A promise of the future, gleaming and sweet.
— ACOWAR, Chapter 80
«I would like to build a garden,» she declared. «After all of this… I think the world needs more gardens.»
My throat was too tight to immediately reply, so I just kissed my sister’s cheek before I said, «Yes — I think it does.»
— ACOWAR, Chapter 80
Elain met me halfway to the kitchen, bearing a tray of jam tarts toward the table in the dining room. Where an assortment of baked goods had already begun to take form, tiered cakes and iced cookies. Sugar-frosted buns and caramel-drizzled fruit pies. «Those look pretty,» I told her by way of greeting, nodding toward the heart-shaped cookies on her tray. All of it looked pretty.
Elain smiled, her braid swishing with each step toward the growing mound of food. «They taste as good as they look.» She set down the tray and wiped her flour-coated hands on the apron she wore over her dusty-pink gown. Even in the middle of winter, she was a bloom of color and sunshine.
She handed me one of the tarts, sugar sparkling. I bit in without hesitation and let out a hum of pleasure. Elain beamed.
— ACOFAS, Chapter 17
«I asked Nuala to do it in that order,» Elain said as the others gathered round. «Because you’re the foundation, the one who lifts us. You always have been.»
— ACOFAS, Chapter 19
Feyre said, «It is Elain’s choice, Nesta.»
Nesta whirled on her, ignoring the warning flicker of primal wrath in Rhys’s stare. «Keep out of this,» she hissed at her youngest sister. «I have no doubt you put these thoughts in her head, probably encouraging her to throw herself into harm’s way —»
Elain cut in sharply, «I am not a child to be fought over.»
Nesta’s pulse pounded throughout her body. «Do you not remember the war? What we encountered? Do you not remember the Cauldron kidnapping you, bringing you into the heart of Hybern’s camp?»
«I do,» Elain said coldly. «And I remember Feyre rescuing me.»
— ACOSF, Chapter 21
I just saw someone say gwyn is going to confront feyre and call her out in the next book about what she did to nesta (???) and... I'm not okay.
1. feyre is a high lady, you guys aware that right?
2. stop mischaracterizing gwyn. we're talking about a girl who blushed just because rhys smiled at her, there's literally no way she would ever do that.
Can we talk about why a large part of this fandom forgets that Feyre is also a warrior! She trained and she knows how to use a sword, yet they always portray her as this soft feminine type. Like she is literally both, a great mix of warrior and soft, but people always generalize her as one thing. She has so many bad ass moments in the series and somehow people forget that, all because what? The last book!?
I just get so frustrated how some of this fandom portrays her and don't understand how they always have to nitpick every aspect of her character and tear it down, in order to lift other characters up.
just because she's a mother now, seeing her as weak says a lot about them btw. yes she's a mother but also a warrior, an artist, a high lady, the reason everyone in this series is alive, actually she's the one holding the ENTIRE SJM UNIVERSE together.
that's the biggest reason why I'm so curious about azriel's pov. he's not the 'cool guy' everyone thinks he is. I think he's a sensitive baby and he'll only show that side of himself to elain.
feysand is the definition of "barbie has a great day everyday, but ken only has a great day if barbie looks at him" and that's why you're so jealous of them.
elain apologized to feyre and took accountability, which is something nesta never did. that's the difference.
people who like her but don't like nesta aren't hypocrites; just reading what's written in books.
