Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
Ellie smiled at the feel of their hands entwining together, fitting like two pieces of the same puzzle. The tattooed boy was her soulmate, there was no doubt in her mind about that and the more time she spent thinking about their relationship, the more she loved being with him.“I think that sounds like a very good plan.” The brunette commented with a grin, giving his hand a soft squeeze as they walked back towards their table. Truthfully, she couldn’t wait to be alone with him, not just because she wanted them to get lost in one another, but because she wanted to be able to focus on anything but him. The young soccer player’s fingers pulled absently through the black cascade of her, his lips pressing to Melissa’s temple in an affectionate gesture, while doing so, he inhaled her scent, committing to memory as it intoxicated his entire being.“Have I mentioned that you’re the woman of my dreams? I probably have but, you really are.” He told her with a chuckle that rumbled low in his chest, pulling away slightly to flicker his chocolate orbs down her delicate features.“You’re beautiful. How did I get so lucky?”
Of course the day had been more than the tattooed boy could’ve asked for, with the endless love and support of their friends and family, but he was more than ready to have every inch of his focus on his wife with no others to watch on. If there was any time that asked him prove his love for her it was then. Easily they made their way back to their table where he paused for a moment to press a kiss to her cheek, allowing his nose to playfully caress over her cheek for a breath before he pulled away. After reaching for his glass he tapped the end of his knife against it, allowing the sound to ring through the room to catch everyones attention. “Before we cut the cake I just wanted to quickly say thank you to each and every one of you that’s here today, Ellie and I have appreciated your support throughout the day and we hope you’ve all enjoyed it as much as we have.” He told them brightly with an ever present grin on his lips, “the bar and the dance floor have been booked until late so make the most of it.” Blake’s confessions of his love for her had always been surprising to Melissa, she’d known him as her cousin’s friend for some time before they started dating so at first it was strange to hear him say those sorts of words. Although it didn’t take long for her to grow used to it, and to adore them each and every time they passed his lips. “You might have mentioned it.” The brunette laughed softly, leaning into to press a kiss to the tip of his nose. “You think so? Even with swollen ankles and late night cravings?” She teased softly, clearly joking but needing to hear those words more than ever.

A soft shiver coursed down Ellie’s spine as their lips parted, her small hands cupping his cheeks as she gently brushed her nose against his, breathing in the closeness of him.“I want to be in bed with you, with nothing but sheets in between us. Is that better?” She questioned with a soft laugh, tapping his nose with her index finger before pulling away. Blake smiled, resting his hand at the nape of her neck as their lips met, gently nibbling on her lower lip before meeting his wife’s gaze once more.“I think that’s a normal reaction. Kids always get jealous of newborns, I know I probably would if I wasn’t the youngest.” He confessed with a chuckle that rumbled low in his throat, his large palm trailing down her back in a soothing caress as he thought about his relationship with his siblings.“Well, as long as you love me, that’s all that matters.” He confessed, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek.“I love you, Mel.”
There was a complete clarity in Ellie’s words so there was no possibility of not understanding what she was saying, it made the tattooed boy laugh at how easily she could clarify exactly what she meant to him. “Much better.” Ryan told her in return with a pleased smile on his lips, wanting to lean in and close the space between them but she’d pulled back before he had a chance. Without hesitation he reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers and beginning to lead her off the dance floor. “I think we should cut the cake, and then we can get to just being with one another. What do you think?” He grinned, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth while he watched the beautiful brunette. Melissa leant into the simple embrace from her husband, wearing to be curled up in his arms after the complete perfection of the day. “I love you too, Blake.” She murmured softly in return, reaching up to trace her fingertips over his cheek, her dark orbs studying him carefully as she memorised each feature. The attention of the room seemed to be on the bride and groom, and it was nice for the brunette to know their moment was private as they weren’t the centre of attention, she lived for those simple memories.
Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
As the notes died slowly away upon the still air, Ellie’s ocean-blue gaze stayed focused on her husband’s features, the soft smile pulling at his lips and the adoration in his eyes sent her heart fluttering in her chest. Her manicured hands moved to rest on his torso, craving the feel of his skin against hers. “I can’t wait to be in your arms.” She whispered as she tugged lightly at the fabric of his shirt, sighing once their lips met once more. The tattooed boy pulled his fingers absently through his wife’s hair, a habit he had indulged in for the past years.“I don’t know.” Blake told her honestly, brushing his nose gently against Melissa’s cheek as he pulled her closer to him.“I think she might be a little protective over their baby. Mum says Isaac was incredibly protective of me when I was born, he wouldn’t let anyone touch me.” He commented with an amused laugh, shaking his head.“Now he can barely stand me which is kind of weird.”
As they kissed he allowed his arms to find their way once more around the dip of her waist, wishing that they were no longer surrounded by the eager eyes of their guests, but rather in the privacy of their own company so they could get lost in nothing but one another. However that wasn’t the case for the moment, so with a low sound of protest he pulled back to meet focus his adoring gaze on Ellie. “You are in my arms.” Ryan teased softly before leaning his forehead against her own. “But i know what you mean.” The thought of their daughter growing up along side Ryan and Ellie’s child was a pleasant thought, she’d always adored the idea of having a friend for life, and if things worked out that’s exactly what would happen with their children as they grew up. “Siblings are strange, I can remember someone telling me about how their son hated their daughter when she was born because he was no longer the youngest.” Melissa added in a considering tone, turning her head to press a soft kiss to Blake’s lips. “It’s Isaacs loss anyway, and I’ll love you even more just to balance it out.” She teased with a soft ring of laughter.
Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
Everything was perfect, surreal even. Ellie felt like she was in a fairytale and she was a princess in the arms of her prince. Ryan led them in the gentle, swaying dance that her mother had help her perfect over the years. They glided across the floor, perfectly in step with one another. In the eyes of those watching, they were not two separate people dancing to the same tune, but one single entity on the dance floor.“Today has been perfect but I can’t wait for it to be just us.” She whispered quietly, holding back a small giggle as she glanced back at him. The tattooed boy’s hazel gaze glanced down at their hands, and then back at her.“Well, I think Taylor and Ryan were a bit like Perrie and me, we were young and we thought we knew what love us but we had no idea.” Blake commented with a low chuckle, shaking his head as he brushed his nose against Melissa’s cheek in a gentle gesture.“We are all going to be a big happy family with Lily and their baby.”
As the music steadily became softer, nearing the end of its piece that would forever ring through Ryan’s thoughts as a symbol and a memory of their love, he held her tighter against him so Ellie would know that he’d never let her go. Not even when a piece neared its end. He quickly became lost in her laughter, the soft melodic quality of it that he wanted to hear forever more on repeat, and only pulling himself out of it as his palm moved to find her cheek. “Just a few hours until we can be alone, my beautiful wife.” He told her in a husky tone, smiling at the thought of it while he leant in closer. “I can’t wait.” With that he pressed his lips against her own, letting her know just how honest he was being. Melissa realised the truth behind her husbands words, there was no way to predict whether a greater love was going to come along, and especially in high school it was easy to think the love that one experienced at that time was as incredible as it could ever be. “That’s true.” She agreed with a soft laugh, pulling back to find Blake’s hazel orbs with an absent smile on her lips. “Do you think they’ll get along, Lily and their baby? Cause they won’t have a choice about spending time with each other.”
Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
Ellie’s piercing blue gaze stayed focused on his, she had always found the hazel of his eyes insanely captivating and she was sure she would never go tired of waking up to his dark orbs looking back at her.“I will never let you go either.” She murmured quietly, happiness welling up in her heart. The melody filled the room with tenderness, lingering like cherry-blossom petals falling in the evening dusk and the petite brunette felt her heart skip a bit as she placed her free hand on his shoulder, letting him lead her across the dance floor in smooth, graceful steps. “Remember how we used to love him with Taylor?” Blake commented with a soft shake of his head, turning his face only slightly to press his kiss to Melissa’s hair. A soft smile pulled at the corner of his lips as he thought over his wife’s words. She couldn’t be more right, it was as if all the stars were aligned, everything had fallen back into place and they were right where they were supposed to be.“I want to be this happy for the rest of my life."
Ryan’s heart was flooded with an astounding well of love and adoration for the woman in his arms. She had very quickly become his everything, his soul purpose for every step he took each day of his life, his main focus in the decisions that he made, and the one person he knew without a doubt that he wouldn’t be able to survive without. Ellie was the true definition of his soulmate, the perfect other half to his own being. Smiling softly down at her he managed to effortlessly twirl her amidst the steps of their dance as the music built, the graceful length of her dress moving with their actions while they continued to easy over the floor. He could’ve continued that way for an eternity, despite his usual discomfort in dance. Truthfully he’d practiced a lot, wanting that moment to be perfect for his wife and he hoped she’d feel the same. “We were clearly delusional.” The brunette laughed in a soft tone, playing absently with Blake’s fingers. It seemed strange thinking back to Ryan being in a relationship with Taylor, remembering how they were when they were together didn’t even compare to how he was with Ellie. With the brunette they moved like magnets, each following after the other even in the simplest of movements, when she shifted her feet the tattooed boy would follow. Probably without realising. “So do I, and hopefully we all can be.”
Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
As Ryan took her hand in his own, she was sure he could feel her heart beat fast and light against the palm of his own. Her free hand moved to rest on his shoulder as she glanced up to meet the mesmerizing hazel of his eyes.“I do. I trust you with my life.” Ellie murmured quietly with a gentle smile, leaning in closer to brush her nose against his in an affectionate gesture.“Don’t ever let go of me.” The tattooed boy smiled into the kiss, savoring the way her lips felt against his own.“You know what I mean though.” He commented with a soft shrug of his shoulders, tucking a long strand of hair behind her ear before turning his attention to the happy couple in the center of the dance floor. Anyone could tell that Ryan and Ellie were deeply and utterly in love with each other and for a moment he thought about Aaron, but some reason he couldn’t feel entirely sorry for the tattooed boy. His sister was in love with Ryan. “I’m so happy for them, they deserve all the happiness in the world.”

He knew he should be nervous about dancing, he was no expert, but there was something about being partnered with the love of his life that gave him and entirely new air of confidence. A smile grew over his lips as her nose brushed against his, meeting her gaze so that she could see the honesty in his expression when he spoke. “I’ll never let you go. Not ever.” Ryan breathed softly as the musicians began to play, steadily keeping his eyes on her ocean blue orbs as he started to lead the brunette across the dance floor. Melissa found herself nodding in agreement to her husbands words while they watched the happy couple, they were made for one another, and she truly couldn’t imagine either of them with another person. Regardless of their past relationships. “They really do.” She murmured lowly, moving to rest her head against Blake’s shoulder while watching them start their first dance together. “Right now in this moment, everything is as it should be.”
Turning Page || Ryan & Ellie
Ellie had never felt remotely nervous around the tattooed so what she had been feeling today wasn’t exactly a familiar emotion for her at all. It wasn’t entirely bad, it was exciting. When Ryan’s husky voice registered with her, the blue-eyed girl could feel her her skin prickle with anticipation.“Okay.” She murmured quietly, a smile pulling at her lips as she gently squeezed his hand. fighting the nerves building within her.“Mel, stop trying to flirt with me, I’m married.” The brunette teased with a soft giggle as she slowly made her way towards the dance floor. The tattooed boy shook his head at his sister’s words, chuckling under his breath as he focused his attention on Melissa once more. His hazel gaze flickered down her delicate features, taking in every detail of her as if it was the first time. He could stare at her for hours and it still wouldn’t be enough to take in all of her beauty."I’m good.” He murmured, his large palm reaching to cup her cheek before he parted her lips with his own in a lazy kiss.“I just miss you a bit, but I’m good.”
Ryan gave a reassuring squeeze to her hand in response to her doing the same, clearly neither of them were professional dancers but the tattooed boy had no doubt that they’d be able to make it through their first dance without any problems. Especially with the grace that Ellie had in every single one of her movements. After leading her out onto the dance floor he turned to slide his arm around her waist, gently pulling the brunette closer while shifting their entwined hands into the position they should be for their dance. Bringing her hand to his lips he pressed a kiss to her sweet skin, smiling softly towards his wife. “Do you trust me?” It was impossible not to laugh at Ellie’s words, in some ways they were just like their husbands when they were together, completely adoring but also completely flirty and playful. Melissa couldn’t have asked for a better friend though, the brunette was like a sister to her and seeing her happy was pure bliss. Turning her head towards Blake she listened to him carefully, softly returning the kiss while sliding a palm over the nape of his neck, playing gently with the ends of his hair as she so often did. “I’m right here, baby. I always will be.”
