Midlife women, this one's for you. If you're a mom of teens who're getting ready to head off on their own, I would encourage you to start thinking about hobbies or activities that you enjoyed doing before you had kids. Start thinking about what you might like to do when your calendar is not full of kids' activities. Maybe you are already an empty nest mom. Maybe you're wondering what's next for you. Maybe you're like me, and you sometimes wish you could go back and do things differently. But you can't. So I would encourage you to start thinking about what you do enjoy doing and what you want to fill your days with. Are you just punching the clock in pursuit of someone else's dream and goals, or is there something that's really tugging on your heart to do? For me, sharing my story of what I've learned and how I am moving through my life is what's bringing purpose to my life I'm grateful I've created a life where time trumps money. I'm carving out time for things like quilting, crocheting, and crafting again. And let me just say that it feels great to be creating again. My baked goods are getting reviews like this... "This might be your best loaf of sourdough yet! Very good as a breakfast sandwich" because I'm enjoying it again. And you know what they say, everything is better when it's baked with love. I'm making moving my body a priority so I can enjoy this second chapter. (Shout out to @sfochtman82, who coined the term 'second act' when she was retiring and thinking about how she wanted to BE during the next part of her life.) Thanks to reevaluating my priorities and making some lifestyle changes, I have time to plan, attend, and enjoy my sister's wedding and the baby shower to welcome my first grandchild. I'm enjoying having time to just BE. https://www.instagram.com/p/CnAKPPcS1Ay/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
