i’ve wanted to know for a while how quickly i could potentially model my own version of the tto toon models

the answer? bout two hours xD (i edited textures onto the front view cuz i don’t have time to actually go ahead and texture it rn, but unlike the original it’s got fully modelled eyes/eyelids and a fully modelled mouth)

chose to omit the weird tan muzzle thing cuz…. idk, personal preference but i always thought it looked weird xD; 

might go back and make some changes… might make more toon species >.> idk yet P: (i know some of the topology needs neatening up, but i gotta go to bed now =v=)

playing around with this some more, tried out the four head variations (big forehead and big muzzle, the big muzzle’s kinda difficult to see without the weird tan texture but idk… it kinda makes the face look pudgy and it’s cute ;A;)

aaaand sortve a prototype dog head? not sure if i like the ears, i might change them later P:

since i’m going directly to UV hell for the next…. many hours, here, have a preview of the fruits of my labour 

i’m still not 100% sure how to get the texture and the shader to work in harmony (y’see like this looks really nice, but i’ve had to set the texture as a multiply material which means i can’t have anything white… which is a big problem since the teeth are part of the head model OTL so i’m not sure how to solve that P: idk man this is the first time i’ve messed around with material types in blender so i have noooo idea what i’m doing :T) 

but yeah i like this honestly qvq my ultimate if-everything-goes-well gameplan is to get all the heads done, whip up a body/clothes and then show off all the different toon types once i’ve got all the pieces to mix and match but fuck knows if i’ll get that far xD;;

hello! it’s been awhile, but i’m finally taking requests again because there’s over 600 of you now!! that’s really incredible, honestly. thank you for sticking with me. i’ll be doing traditional sketches of your cog or toon ocs this time. and as usual, there are a few rules that i ask you follow:

1. reblog this post with either a reference image attached of your character or a link to a reference image of your character. if you reblog this post telling me to scroll through your blog for a reference, your request WILL be ignored. you must provide a ref/link to ref in your reblog.

2. only one character per person.

3. request your oc before September 6 at 11:59th PM EST. any requests made after then WILL be ignored as i am only accepting them until then. this gives you about three days.

small special requests are ok (ex: asking to have ur oc in a flower crown) but not necessary if you cant think of any
