mandatory disclaimer that i know that people with more lower chronic pain also struggle and that they are also in pain, don’t start fights with me over this or i will haunt you for a year and a half once i die.

i know the purpose of those posts talking about how a low level of constant pain is also chronic pain, i know not everyone realises their pain also counts because how much the medical system sucks & how invalidating people can be about it.

but sometimes i’d just like to see posts about or talk to other people who’s pain isn’t just a “low hum in the background” (i’ve seen it described multiple times that way) you know? i want to talk to other people who can barely walk because of their pain, other people who’s day to day life is heavily affected by their pain, other people who’s pain has destroyed their lives.

i hate my pain, it destroys my life. i am heavily mobility impaired, i can’t work, i can’t do household chores, i struggle keeping myself alive because i sometimes can’t cook or do my hygiene or go to the bathroom.

i would just like to talk to more people like me. or just see more people talking about people like me.

hi me. i get how you feel. i cant work, go to school, maintain my space or relationships ect. honestly i agree. not that their pain is invalid, but hearing my friends say “i understand, i get it” is so soul crushing because the reality is that someone who can work and attend school has absolutely no idea how i feel or what its like. they are disabled, their struggles are real. but, that doesnt make it hurt less that they can do so much more than me in every aspect and they somehow dont see that.

the world isn’t cruel, life doesn’t suck. being cruel is just easy for humans because of our innate desire for power, which many subconsciously perceive as safety. its easy to be mean and negative because people bend. dont bend to cruel people and dont think ‘thats just how it is’ because its not. things made things this way, and things can be improved. pessimism is easy, but lazy. dont be lazy and dont fold, especially in times like this.
