I just started to think about the times my country trolled Donald Trump during the past years. 

To start with, we made this masterpiece called “America First, Finland Second” which was played in YLE TV2, a national TV channel run by tax money.

And that’s not all. Oh no, not at all. When Trump and Putin decided to have their summit in our capital, one of our biggest, and probably the most respected, newspaper filled the entire capital (or more precisely, the route the presidents took from the airport to the meeting) with massive ads like these:

They were everywhere, and they were massive, and that probably cost tons of money, but hey, we saw a chance and we took it. (To be fair, we did troll Putin too, but those are only funny if you can read Russian.)

Anyway, moving on to that one time our president met Trump in the USA of which we have this amazing clip of our president throwing some serious shade on Trump during a press conference. 

And, of course, these golden shots of our president being done with everything (mostly, Trump).  This was probably the only time the hashtag ‘Finland’ was trending on Twitter. Good times. We were proud.

Not to forget the moment during that very same meeting when a reporter from one of our biggest media houses slash TV channels asked Trump if he has done some conspiring yet today and Trump was not happy. 

And last but not least, the time when a young female reporter casually told Trump that we have a lot of blonde women in Finland after Trump confused her with another reporter.

I’m not sure if my country is trying very hard to get nuked out of existence, but I love it.
