New recommendation: Tell Me Everything on itv. It’s a little bit Skins, a little bit Big Boys. It definitely feels like a channel 4 show. It’s a teen drama about Jonny who loses his father and is processing his grief. There’s his adorable sidekick, the bisexual king Louis, and his other best friend Neve.

The cast are strong, particularly the actor who plays Jonny (made more impressive by the fact he’s only eighteen.) Mei is annoying but at least they provide a backstory for her insecurities. I wouldn’t say the show’s covering new ground exactly - although I feel like Louis’ lesson with internet porn could actually teach teen boys a thing or two - but the characters are really likeable and it’s nice to see itv experimenting with teen shows at last.

p.s Jonny’s reaction to seeing Louis and Kyle together was one of the loveliest, most casual coming out reactions ever. Although don’t get me started on the kiss between Zia and Louis in the last episode. Only forgiven because Louis is seventeen and still working his shit out.
