Throne of the Wolves guide!
This is a very, very basic guide whose only purpose is to help you understand how the event works a little bit more. There are a lot of things about it I still don't know, so I might update it and write a better one in the future. In the meantime, these are the basics:
- When you open the event, you will immediately be presented with three (3) cards. These cards can either have something you can collect or an opponent you can fight in exchange for objects. Both options will also give you points that help your ranking.
- The amount of damage you can do to an opponent will depend on the strenght of your top 5 strongest knights.
- What objects can you collect through the cards?
- Wolfsbane Scroll. It'll give you wolfsbane, what's that? I'll explain in a bit.
- Golden Horn. If you collect it, the next time you attack an opponent, your knights will have a buff that increases their attack by 15%
- Mirror Mirror. It allows you to select one of your other two cards and replicate it, it doesn't work with every card though.
- The cards can be combined. How can you tell if a card can be combined with another one? Every card has between 1 to 3 circles on its top left corner, if the circles on two cards suddenly start shinning, it means you can tap one of the cards and drag it on top of the other one to combine them and gain more points.
- Look for the "Golden Horn" card and always combine it if possible. If you combine it once, you get "Secret Spring Blessing I" and it gives one of your knights a permanent buff of 7k more attack damage and 8k more HP. If you combine a "Golden Horn" card with a "Secret Spring Blessing I", then you get "Fountain Blessing II" which gives all of your 5 knights a buff of 2k more HP and 2k more attack damage. Both buffs are permament for the remaining of the event.
▪︎ The Wolf King ▪︎
- Whoever defeats the Wolf King, becomes the new Wolf King.
- To attack the Wolf King, you will need "Silver Tears", which you get by challenging opponents through the cards.
- Remember Wolfsbane? You can collect them, and they give you an attack buff when you are hitting the Wolf King with Silver Tears!
- If one of your friends becomes Wolf King, they might turn you into a Werewolf. I don't understand much about being a werewolf except that every opponent I face, I defeat in one move so, there's that? Also, if you become Wolf King, you can turn two people into Werewolves and turn even more people for every 40 stamina you use.
that's all I have, I hope it helps 🥹
I’m loving their chemistry
you can’t deny it’s there
Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria, I’m so sorry you were taken from us so early </3
This is true btw
the podcast If Books Could Kill has a really great episode on the original book and its legacy! just a bunch of misogynist evangelical bullshit really
I want to clarify something kind of important because this kinda used to be my field. The concept that people express and feel love in different ways, and that this might lead to misunderstandings, IS something with scientific merit. The idea that there are just five and we know what they are is NOT. The idea that people have a primary love language is NOT.
In science, we have a saying. All models are wrong, but some are useful. That’s how I see the love languages framework. It is inherently flawed, but some of its concepts are useful. Communicate with your partner what makes you feel loved and understand what makes them feel loved. Understand how your partner shows love. There is immense value in that. But don’t over-index on which one of the five you are. That part doesn’t matter.
#love languages#really reblogging for that last comment though#“all models are wrong but some are useful”#the concept is sound but the specifics are uhhhh not (via @mad-madam-m)
Love expressions are real, and varied. Love languages aren't.

it feels fake but your friends miss you sometimes

AU where Edward does return in New Moon but doesn’t reveal himself to Bella
By the time he gets to Bella, she’s not back to normal of course but she’s not catatonic anymore. She’s not thriving, but she’s living. Edward, on the other hand, is pretty well and truly Cracked and delusional by this point and convinces himself that it’s enough to just be around her. He can keep watch over her without being in her life. Keep her safe from outside forces and himself. That’s enough for him.
Except he’s not quite cognizant enough to actually stay completely hidden. Bella catches glimpses of him and assumes they’re more hallucinations at first, so she keeps going about her life. That is, until she sees more than a flash in the corner of her eye— he looks horrible. Still beautiful, but rough. Not like her usual hallucinations. Eyes dead, cheeks gaunt, all shadows and bruises and decay
Of course her first inclination is to believe her hallucinations are changing. That’s just more likely than Edward actually coming back. She tries not to think too hard about what the change means— is her memory of him waning? Is her mental picture of him deteriorating in tandem with her own mental state despite her thinking she’s getting better? Is she going to crash and burn again? And why does she feel a tug in her chest in its direction? How do her eyes know exactly which to go to see him? That never even happened before the real Edward left
Edward thinks he’s looking out for her. Keeping vigil. He can’t see that he’s haunting her.

Hopper is never having a good day when he has to deal with children but he’s having an even worse day when the kids in question are Eddie ‘Come Back With a Warrant’ Munson and Steve ‘I’ll Answer Your Questions When My Lawyer is Present’ Harrington.
They are eight and seven years old in the backseat of his truck after Hopper caught them separately doing shit they’re not supposed to do. His plan was to drive around a bit, scare them, and then send them on their way but neither are taking it seriously.
Steve, at least, is sticking to his words and hasn’t spoken since he requested a lawyer. Eddie, on the other hand, hasn’t shut up.
Hopper said he was talking them to jail and Eddie’s response was to point out that they weren’t committing crimes. They were committing miss-de-meters and second, “The police station’s that way. You’re drivin’ to Uncle Wayne’s.”
Hopper feels like a glorified taxi driver at this point. He makes one last attempt to instill a little fear of god into these future felons by saying, “You’re going to get grounded by your parents and you’ll deserve it.”
There’s a beat of silence before Steve pipes up, “What’s grounded?”
“It’s when your parents bury you in the backyard,” Eddie supplies helpfully.
“Oh…” Steve says and then loudly announces, “Mr. Hopper, I can’t be grounded. We have a pool.”
“That’s okay,” Eddie cuts in before Hopper can steer this conversation in the right direction.
He clasps a hand on Steve’s shoulder in the rearview and tells him, “They’ll drown you instead.”
