ꕥ (felix lee, cis-man, he / him) – hey look, it’s cyrus lee (taeyang)! they’re a 21 (23) years old merfolk. they are a mabeob university student and ice cream shop attendant but you can always find them around the library. i heard they’re known around town for being pretty mischievous, but i think they’re pretty curious, too…they kind of remind me of THE SPARKLE IN EYES FULL OF EAGERNESS, FRECKLES DUSTED ON SUNKISSED SKIN AND THE SCENT OF BLUE FREESIA & OCEAN MUSK. do they believe in magic?

what to write, what to write. dal-rae sat in front of the chalkboard marquis, a piece of pink chalk in one hand and a white in the other. they rapped against the board as she did her best to think of what the sweet exchange should advertise today. the pink velvet cake? the dark chocolate sachertorte with orange jam? the early grey tea with madagascar vanilla and hints of rose and lavender? it was all so hard to choose. they were all her babies.

the sound of footsteps behind her broke her from her trance and she turned to the newcomer with a bright, welcoming smile. "hello there!! care to help me with my advertisement board here? i'm just too indecisive to choose." she turned fully and finally got a good look at the person who had approached and gasped. was it a bit dramatic? yes but very on brand for dal-rae.

"you're the new guy!" it seemed accusatory by the way she phrased it but it was more a declaration of excitement. she was known to give newcomers a welcome basket of treats and offer them any help she could give. "i dropped some stuff off with your mom but she said it wasn't really your style and that you're more a salted caramel kind of guy, no? i've been working on a salted caramel blonde marshmallow just for you!"

♡ ･: ༶ Cyrus hasn’t felt this nervous and excited in a long time. The last time he felt this much of mixed emotions was when he showed up at his very first job at his neighbourhood’s fruit smoothie shop way back in Australia. The summer break has started and as a teenager, Cyrus thought it would be a great opportunity to earn some money for his very own baking oven he had been dreaming of. He did get it in the end with the help of his parents and sisters as well. It was his most prized possession and it now sits on the counter of their kitchen comfortably. 

As he stands in front of the ice cream shop, Cyrus notices his boss through the windows and glass doors, and sucks in a deep breath. He smoothes out his pastel yellow t-shirt and gives the door a push, hearing the tinkle coming from above notifying his boss of his presence. 

“Oh!” Cyrus quickly bows in greeting and flashes a huge smile as he nods his head rather excitedly. “Hello boss! Absolutely, it’s my duty to help you after all.” He darts his eyes over to the display of a variety of icy sweetness and lets the silence fill the area for a few seconds before he gestures towards the first label, “I think the earl grey seems like a really good pick for today. So does the Apple Pie A La Mode!” Cyrus closes the gap between them so he could stand next to her now as he peers over her shoulder to have a closer look at the chalkboard. 

“I just wanted to say thank you for hiring me and for the gift basket you sent over to my apartment the other day.” Her words makes him break out in a hearty chuckle himself, finding her overflowing enthusiasm rather infectious before he shakes his head and waves his hands in dismissal. “Salted caramel fudges may be my favourite but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the other wonderful treats in life! In fact, I quite enjoyed the cookies, salted chips and the prawn crackers!” He recalls of the times he strode over to the gift basket resting on the dining table so he could indulge in the snacks while he watches the telly. The newfound discovery makes the young man’s expression grow into one which was more of a mix of delighted and surprised. “S-salted caramel b-blonde marshmallow?! Gosh, that sounds tasty already! Boss, you’re going to spoil me.” He cups the sides of his head and speaks with a small pout, “What if I indulged in the whole tub myself? No! I can’t risk losing my spot here at The Sweet Exchange. I like it here too much!”

And we're all finally here! Hi I'm Jett and it's my first time writing a muse that isn't exactly human so please be kind to me. Bio's right over HERE ( it's almost done, exception of the background which is currently under construction ) and I'll spill more about Cyrus below so if you're interested in plotting, just hit the ♡ ?

As you can see, I don't really have everything planned in detail, I just have the basics down because I really want to explore more of him as I write! I really look forward to getting to know all of you and your amazing muses!

So Cyrus hails from Sydney, Australia. He doesn't know that he's one of the merfolk until he visits the island and takes a dip into those magical waters. He came to the island with his Mom for a little vacation like at the start of April 2023 but he gets more than he expected! Cue the whole transformation thing and his Mom says to him in a Hagrid voice "yer a merman, Cyrus." His parents and two older sisters, Cordelia and Pearl, are merfolk but for some reason Cyrus has never shown any merfolk traits and he grew up to be very wary of people because of what his family always tells him things like "They can be dangerous. You can't trust others. Blah blah blah stuff like that." There's a long story to this but I'll spare you the details for now. He currently lives at Eopshin Heights with his mother, he's a student at the university and a staff at the ice cream shop! He's really enthusiastic about working there so you can be sure to see his joyful face and his joyful service when you come in for some ice cream. Cyrus in general is just a really affable and sweet person to be around with, oh! and he's very curious. He probably asks tons of questions about anything and everything and everyone.
