When the weather forecast promise you snow in May, you’ll just have to dig out Göte Lovén and his 1970 single on Pyramid Records, ”En Dalkarl i Rio”.
Let’s be careful out there.
German book series Perry Rhodan turned into Italian movie 1967 - with English title Mission Stardust - and sountrack re-issued on German label Diggler in 2003. Just as we like it.
It is the year after the epic Hans Edler album ”Elektron Kukéso” and famous Swedish actor Stig Järrel reads ghost stories on Hans Edler’s label, Marilla. Hans Edler performs *elektronmusik* and the album is co-produced by Börje Forsberg, who had his own Tyfon label - later to become the black metal label Black Mark. It’s the year 1972.
Same same but different. Close to James Last from Swedish Moondisc, unknown year. (And we guess Moondisc just bought the tapes from someone else.)
Hans Edler ran the record label Marilla during the years 1968-80. Here’s the office at Parmmätargatan 9, Kungsholmen in Stockholm. The company issued a stream of innovative and fantasy ridden records that no-one but Hans Edler could have thought of. Thanks a million for the Marilla era!
”Sing with us! Here are all the lyrics”. Nice gatefold cover with Tonix from 1975.
What we in Sweden call ”jesuspop”. Christallen: ”You Might Wonder” on the Signatur label, 1968.
No, not even summer is all fun and games. Christer Enghs: ”Our Own Summer” on the Habima label, 1976.
The sequel to the album ”My happiest songs”; ”My happiest Christmas songs” with Charlotte Höglund. Signatur 1974.
Let Jo James take care of your Kosaken-Party! Circa 1970.
Johnny Whitaker (born 1959) was a child star, got chewed by the business and spitted out to drug abuse. One of his biggest sucesses was the series ”Sigmund and the Sea Monsters” (1973-75), that also resulted in the album ”Friends” - including our favourite, ”Monster Rock”. Johnny is again active as actor.
Thorleifs. Always together. LP. 1976.
Harpo Marx was born on this day in 1888. Congrats!
Congrats to Jamie Lee Curtis, who turns 60 today.
Selfmade crooner Charles Ek later became painter Charles Ek Brandt. This is an early single issued on the legendary Dollar Records label, with Folke Lindesjö’s Orchestra.
