7 O Lord, give ear unto my voice, when I do cry to thee; Upon me also mercy have, and do thou answer me. 8 When thou didst say, seek ye my face, then unto thee reply Thus did my heart, above all things thy face, Lord, seek will I. 9 Far from me hide not thou thy face; put not away from thee Thy servant in thy wrath: thou hast an helper been to me. O God of my salvation, leave me not, nor forsake: 10 Though me my parents both should leave, the Lord will me up take.
Recorded @ RP youth camp 7 Ye gates, lift up your heads on high; ye doors that last for aye, Be lifted up, that so the King of glory enter may. 8 But who of glory is the King? The mighty Lord is this; Ev'n that same Lord, that great in might and strong in battle is. 9 Ye gates, lift up your heads; ye doors, doors that do last for aye, Be lifted up, that so the King of glory enter may. 10 But who is he that is the King of glory? who is this? The Lord of hosts, and none but he, the King of glory is.
1 The LORD is my shepherd; no want shall I know. 2 He makes me lie down where the green pastures grow; He leads me to rest where the calm waters flow. 3 My wandering steps he brings back to his way, In straight paths of righteousness making me stay; And this he has done his great name to display. 4 Though I walk in death’s valley, where darkness is near, Because you are with me, no evil I’ll fear; Your rod and your staff bring me comfort and cheer. 5 In the sight of my en’mies a table you spread. The oil of rejoicing you pour on my head; My cup overflows and I’m graciously fed. 6 So surely your covenant mercy and grace Will follow me closely in all of my ways; I will dwell in the house of the LORD all my days.
Used with permission of the Northern Presbytery Choir. 5 Hold up my goings, Lord, me guide in those thy paths divine, So that my footsteps may not slide out of those ways of thine. 6 I called have on thee, O God, because thou wilt me hear: That thou may'st hearken to my speech, to me incline thine ear. 7 Thy wondrous loving-kindness show, thou that, by thy right hand, Sav'st them that trust in thee from those that up against them stand. 8 As th' apple of the eye me keep; in thy wings shade me close 9 From lewd oppressors, compassing me round, as deadly foes.
Psalm 15
A Psalm of David.
1 Lord, Who shall abide in thy tabernacle?
Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness,
And speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
Nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned;
But he honoureth them that fear the Lord.
He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury,
Nor taketh reward against the innocent.
He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Text from 'Archbishop Parker's Psalter'. Tune: '3rd Mode Melody' by Thomas Tallis [CM.D] 3. Let us they say: break down their ray, of all their bonds and cords: We will renounce: that they pronounce, their loores as stately lordes. 4. But God of might: in heauen so bright, Shall laugh them all to scorne: The Lord on hie: shall them defie, they shall be once forlorne. 9. With iron rod: as mighty God, all rebels shalt thou bruse: And breake them all: in pieces small, as sherdes the potters vase. 10. Be wise therfore: ye kinges the more, Receyue ye wisdomes lore: Ye iudges strong: of right and wrong, aduise you now before. 11. The Lorde in feare: your seruice beare, with dread to him reioyce: Let rages be: resist not ye, him serue with ioyfull voyce. 12. The sonne kisse ye: lest wroth he be, lose not the way of rest: For when his ire: is set on fire, who trust in hym be blest
1 The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want. 2 He makes me down to lie In pastures green: he leadeth me the quiet waters by. 3 My soul he doth restore again; and me to walk doth make Within the paths of righteousness, ev'n for his own name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk in death's dark vale, yet will I fear none ill: For thou art with me; and thy rod and staff me comfort still. 5 My table thou hast furnished in presence of my foes; My head thou dost with oil anoint, and my cup overflows. 6 Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me: And in God's house for evermore my dwelling-place shall be.
1 HOW blessed the man who does not walk where wicked men would guide his feet, or stand in paths with sinful men, or sit upon the scorners' seat. 2 The LORD's law is his chief delight, his meditation day and night. mf 2 3 He will be like a growing tree well planted by the water side, which in its season bears its fruit, and has a leaf which does not fade. In everything that this man does, he'll surely prosper in that cause. mp 3 4 Not so the wicked! They are all like chaff the wind will drive away. 5 They will not in the judgment stand, nor sinners with the righteous stay. m 6 The LORD the way of just men knows; d the sinners' way he overthrows.
