Colin Kaepernick donated his massive shoe collection to Bay Area homeless shelters

Long before his activism made him famous, Colin Kaepernick was known for something else: his massive shoe collection. 

Now, fresh off the football season, Kaepernick’s taken a huge step by donating tons of shoes to Bay Area homeless shelters.

It was so big at one point that he converted his garage into a shoe closet.

Kaepernick donated the shoes, along with clothes and books, to Bay Area homeless shelters and orphanages shortly after his season ended. Read more

I'm Dominican and Puerto Rican and Dominican is of African and Taino Indian descent and I don't deny being black but should I cause I've honestly been so confused people tell me I am and I would accept that but when I try to join the conversation and acknowledge my black I get shut down and told I'm not black ???:\

A lot of us do not know our history, do not know where a majority of our ancestors went, do not know how Black a lot south America and the islands are and so they will ignorantly tell you that you cannot be Black, because they do not understand what an Afro Latinx is. But if you identify as Black then sweetheart that’s what you are, okay? We cousins out here.
