LGBTQ+, POC, and women are looking at the electoral map now and are seeing millions of people who at best don’t care about them at all. Regardless of who wins, this is a loss for this country.
France can have this back
Literally millions of Americans right now are telling women this: It doesn’t matter how qualified you are. It doesn’t matter how smart, capable, or experienced you are. It doesn’t matter if you are the most qualified person for your job in American History… You are still not as good as a sexist, racist, bigoted, misogynistic fuckboy who paints himself orange.
In my opinion, that’s a fucking shame.
TRUMP: I have the best temperament. Obviously. CLINTON: Obviously. Yes. Obviously. You have interrupted me 70 times to say nonsense remarks that indicate you have not the faintest idea what you are talking about. Seventy times. I have spent my life doing this. You decided, like, last year that you were mildly interested in it and that you would probably be great at it. I wish I had that confidence. I wish any little girl did. If I had coughed even once on this stage, I would have lost this debate instantly. And so you know what? I did not cough. Not even once. You sniffed and you lectured and you made faces and you sighed. And I stood there. Impassive. Like a screensaver. I focus-grouped my number of blinks. But maybe it worked. Maybe, just this once, America saw a man yammer on for an hour and a half about a subject he knew nothing about to a woman who had spent her lifetime in that field, and America said, “Oh,” quietly, to itself. Maybe. But knowing America, maybe also not.

I feel like an NPC character when...
I’m on register at work: ~waits patiently behind counter with absent smile until a customer walks close enough and/or shows necessary amount of interest ~has a set script of prompts in my head to follow during transactions ~cheerful yet non-descript customer service voice and can repeat same exact tone infinitely. ~breaking from prompts or skipping through parts may cause minor glitches, such as accidentally repeating the same prompt again or completely skipping necessary ones ~absentmindedly tends to my area using the same five or so actions in a continuous loop until new person arrives ~Abnormally knowledgeable in my craft ~wears same outfit every day ~Nothing unusual phases me ~walking away and coming back is like a brand new interaction. I have little to no memory of you
This explains more than I’m comfortable with about my time as a receptionist.
“She connects with people on a different level than we can.”
Tamron Hall just absolutely demolished Scott Baio’s stance that misogynistic tweets are “just a joke.” And that ESPECIALLY matters this year
After the actor took to the RNC stage to promote Trump, the MSNBC presenter called him out on his hypocritical family values stance. This year that kind of hypocrisy is especially important for MILLENNIALS to call conservatives out on.

The clock is ticking on a bill that would prevent discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities who need organ transplants.
According to one study, only about half people with intellectual disabilities receive transplant referrals

There is a really, shitty hoax going around now that if you email Nintendo proof of your disability they will unlock “secret” disabled permissions for Pokemon Go.
Please stop sharing this rumor and shut it down when you are able to. And if you have reblogged this rumor, please take the time to reblog a correction.
It’s an extremely mean-spirited response to disabled people’s disappointment that they can’t play the game due to mobility (and other) issues.
I don’t wanna be the asshole but is there a source??
I am the source. I spent 2 hours trying to track down how this could possibly be true. Especially since Nintendo doesn’t own the game Niantic does. I was able to find the source of the rumor which was an image of a twitter account, posted to Tumblr, announcing that someone could email Nintendo without providing any actual details like an email address or instructions on how to do so.
When I was finally able to find the image on Reddit, all I had to do was find the original Twitter account which leads to an Itallian (I think) feed for the actual volcano Vesuvius. Links below:
https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4t2y3p/nintendo_apparently_can_change_the_settings_for/
https://twitter.com/Vesuvius
I would love to be proven wrong on this. But the fact is, this is not how companies operate. The game is free to play. In order for this to be true, Niantic would have to pay someone to read through and verify every email sent to them.
If the settings existed, they would be in the game. They would not pay someone to go into thousands of players individual accounts one by one and change the settings.
Not only that but it’s a huge invasion of privacy to force someone to show anything like medical records to prove a disability exists. I cannot imagine any legal team in the world allowing that to take place.

CNN’s Don Lemon on police shootings: “When I am stopped by an officer - I shouldn’t have to be ‘yes,sir-ing’ anybody.”
Don Lemon lost the support of the Black community after a few controversial remarks that he made throughout his career. During yesterday’s CNN Tonight he shared his thoughts on the killings of two Black men that occurred earlier this week and they’re actually making everyone consider changing their mind. Let’s be honest - everything Don Lemon said was on point. I cannot help but think that until this day he was forced to say everything he said, because his words regarding police violence are pretty damn woke.

The Flash is steadily clocking in as the highest rated and most impressively received hero in TV and movies. Arrow kicked all of this off and although they’ve hit some bumps, still remains a fan favorite. Supergirl has really expanded on the Arrowverse by being a female-driven show with highly talented actresses, showcasing all the Kryptonian prowess of heat vision and super strength while completely embracing the “soft” side of heroes and the emotional toll crimefighting has on their secret identities, and being on a completely different network (CBS) but continuing to allow crossover episodes and events. Now, if you haven’t heard, Supergirl is moving to The CW, which will bring their roster of super shows to 4, counting the new B-Squad team up action show, Legends of Tomorrow. Pretty impressive numbers from a network that was notoriously known for their vamp shows and teen-targeted romantic dramas.
