Revenge of the digimon! || Jude, Milly & Bastien

Attacked by the Gazimon? Well that didn’t sound any good. “Let’s just hope that Milly can find us somehow and get us out of this mess,” Jude sighed as he continued scanning the area. He purposely ignored the comments he made about his sister. As much as he didn’t like them, he couldn’t really disagree. Leave it to his sister to stop a battle like that.

There didn’t seem to be anything that would help the two get out these ropes unless Coronamon could get out of his little cell and burn the ropes which wasn’t happening anytime soon. Well this just blew. He would rather be doing homework than sitting here with this kid who wasn’t having any fun here either. “Where are these Gazimon anyways?”

Well the saying did go, speak of the devil and they shall appear. A weird looking rabbit stepped into the clearing where the digidestined sat and grinned mischievously. Did all the digimon look like deformed animals or plants? Studying the digimon’s state though, he seemed completely unharmed. If it was attacked like the kid had mentioned, shouldn’t he be at least a bit weak?

“I see our visitors have woken up,” the Gazimon grinned, “I’m glad you had a nice beauty sleep because you’re in for a surprise today,” he taunted as he wagged a finger in front of Bastien’s face, “We’ll show you for attacking us like that yesterday. You just can’t listen to the orders given to you, can you? Well, we’ll fix that today.”

“Oh right,” Milly piped as she began digging into her pocket once again. Her and Palmon had taken a quick break, trying to decide on where to search next for her brother and Bastien. Pulling out the weird device she discovered yesterday, she stared at the blank screen and began tapping at it. How did this thing work?

“Milly, what are you doing?” Her digimon questioned from besides her. She had taken a seat on the grass, recovering from all the walking they have done. “I don’t think it works like that.” Maybe her partner was slowly losing it especially since the speed of her tapping increased, “Milly..,” her partner repeated.

“Why doesn’t this thing even turn on?” Milly sighed as she dropped to the ground next to her partner, studying the little screen. “Why can’t I have a map or something?” She sighed desperately, “We’ll never find them at this rate. Can’t you like track them somehow?” She questioned her digimon. Another sigh escaped her when the digimon shook her head. “I just hope they’re okay.” She mumbled, pulling her knees to her chest but that position didn’t last very long.

A beeping from her hand made Milly jump to her feet as she stared at the hand with the digivice in it. The screen was now bright and two dots right next to each other were flashing on and off. What was this? Bastien had a digivice too. Maybe this tracked down his? But she didn’t know if Jude had one so she couldn’t be sure if the dots lead to them. Maybe they lead to a digimon she had to find or something. Of course if she asked Palmon, she probably wouldn’t know. Mulling it over for about a minute, Milly held out her device as she pointed to the direction of the dots, “We’re going to follow these dots!” She announced.

Sébastien stared at the Gazimon blankly.  If he was trying to be intimidating, then he wasn't doing a very good job.  "I've been awake pretty much this entire time.  I slept for a few minutes, maybe.  You're not very good at watching your 'visitors'.  And also, you attacked us.  What, are you that surprised that we fought back?  Not very smart, are you," he replied, sounding more bored than anything else.

Seriously, he was really getting tired of dealing with these things.  They were so annoying, and completely idiotic.  It made it impossible to be scared of them at all.  They were much too incompetent for that to be possible.  Maybe being scared would be smart, since his digimon wouldn't be able to do much to help right now.  But whatever.  He wasn't about to let some bunny scare him.

"Hey you!  You better not hurt Bastien!  Or I'll . . . um . . or I'll hurt you," Coronamon threatened, or tried to anyway.  He wasn't really all that threatening from inside this cage.

The other Gazimon was keeping is distance for now.  He didn't think this was a very good idea, not that he could actually say that.  These kids could make their digimon digivolve instantly.  They already had once, who said they wouldn't be able to again?  If their digimon did digivolve again, they'd really be screwed.

Revenge of the digimon! || Jude, Milly & Bastien

Rolling his eyes, Jude scanned his surroundings, “Well someone’s the optimist,” he retorted. He was glad his sister wasn’t here with them. Hopefully she’d already be looking for them by now but he really couldn’t count on that considering they knew nothing about this place. That seemed to be an issue for them.

“What the hell are Gazimon?” Jude asked trying to look back at the kid but he could only go so far with their current position, “No wait, I got this. They’re digimon but how do you know their names?” He rephrased his question with a sigh. This seriously wasn’t a walk in the park. What Milly saw in this place he would never know.

“Jude! Bastien!” Milly called, her hands cupped around her mouth. It had been almost half an hour since her and Palmon had begun their search for her brother and Bastien and still no luck. Not even a trace. This was very unJude like. Yeah his exterior spoke otherwise; he would never leave Milly like this. “Palmon, do you happen to have a map of this place? I think we’ve been going around in circles,” she said with a sigh, stopping in her tracks.

“Aw don’t give up Milly. I’m sure we’ll find the somewhere! Maybe Bastien left and Jude went to get him back?” She suggested in encouragement. “That’s why we should go and help him too!”

Milly shook her head, digging into her pocket, “Jude wouldn’t go after anyone he didn’t know. He didn’t mind Bastien leaving yesterday so why would he follow him now? Palmon, what if they went back to earth?!” Milly spun towards her partner, her hand dropping from her pocket, completely forgetting about what she was digging for. “They both wanted to go back home really badly so what if they were transported back when we fell asleep the same way we got here.”

“I don’t think it works that way,” Palmon said slowly although she didn’t know much about that so it was still definitely a possibility. “Maybe we should look around some more. Their digimon should still be around here then. I don’t think we can go to your home.” Although, she didn’t know much about that either.

"We were attacked by the Gazimon yesterday.  Palmon and Coronamon were about to finish them off, but Milly made them stop, because apparently they couldn't bother us anymore," Sébastien explained, sounding very annoyed.  "That turned out well, didn't it?  Didn't bother her, but it screwed us over."

Now that he thought about it, that other Palmon said she'd come back for them, too.  Just great.  Well, now he knew that letting these things go was a bad idea.  "Coronamon, next time you fight something, finish it," Sébastien said, knowing that his digimon couldn't answer him right now, but wanting to make it clear.

Coronamon nodded, though Sébastien wasn't looking.  He didn't have any problem with that.  That's how they usually do it, anyway.  He'd just have to ignore Milly if she said to stop, which was easy since she wasn't his partner.  Of course fighting them now would be difficult in this cage.

I thought that I would ask if there was anyone who actually wants to be a mod.  I'm one now, and while I like being in charge of the blog appearance, dealing with message and things is not something I'm really good at.  Or at being in charge in general.  

So yeah, if anyone actually likes doing that stuff, let me know.  I'll keep modding for now, but I wanted to see if anyone's interested.  Yeah.

Nightmare || Open

Jackie grinned, unable to suppress her chuckle at the conversation. He was interesting, that’s for sure. And she quite liked his sense of humor. “Oh, alright then. I’ll show you delicate.” She grinned. They were going to get along just fine. She stretched up, grabbing ahold of the lowest branch, beginning the rather strenuous process of hauling herself up. From there, it was a little easier to scamper up the tree like she had been doing the moment she was strong enough to climb. She always had been a rambunctious child.

She settled on a branch with a decent amount of fruit within reach, beginning to pluck them from the branches. “Alright, get ready, here comes the first!” She called out in warning, giving him a good minute’s heads up before she dropped it down where he could hopefully catch it. She figured six would probably be a good number, two for each of them, and one for their digimon. Small as they were, they probably didn’t need much to eat. Speaking of which, did Kuramon even have a mouth?

The distraction made her wobble a little and she shoved the thought from her mind, continuing to feed the fruit down to her catcher. Once she had picked and tossed down six, she glanced down at the silver-haired boy. “You think that’s enough for us or should I grab a couple more?”

Sébastien crossed his arms as he waited for Jackie to climb up the tree.  She reminded him of one of his friends, so it wasn't all that difficult being around her.  Since he was used to someone similar to her.  Though she didn't do that arm punching thing Jo always did.  That wasn't going to be something he would miss.

He glanced up when she called out, mentally preparing himself.  Just letting the fruit hit the ground probably wasn't the best idea.  Might as well try to catch some.  It didn't go too badly.  There was enough time in between for him to set the fruit on the ground before another one came.  He only missed two.  Well, the digimon could have those ones.

"Yeah, I think that's enough," Sébastien replied, as he looked at the fruit.  The digimon wouldn't be able to eat a lot of these, would they?  The fruit was almost the same size as they were.  He had never tried feeding a sun though, so he had no idea.  "Not sure how much these things eat, though."

"Don't worry, Bastien!  If I'm still hungry I can just float up and get some more," Sunmon said cheerfully.  He didn't want them to worry about having to feed him since he could get food himself.  He did kind of eat a lot.  

"Definitely not.  You'd just catch the leaves on fire and then we'd have a forest fire to deal with.  You stay away from the tree," Sébastien sighed. How Sunmon had managed to avoid burning this jungle to the ground was a mystery to him.  Especially since he had already managed to catch bushes on fire.  Small enough to put out, but still annoying.

Alright.  So, as always, Bastien and Hunter are always up for new threads.  If we have a current thread and you've joined the new group, I guess we can just keep going?  Unless you'd rather start over.  Either one is alright with me.  Just send me a message or something.  Or just reply if we have a thread going.  Yeah.

We’re almost ready to go.

First things first though, overdrive members.

You will not need to fill out the application again.  Just send us a message from your character blog and we’ll add it to the list.  We will be making a skype group chat for the group, so if you’d like to be included in that we’ll need your skype.  You can keep the same blog, same character, same digimon, all of that.  You’ll need to change the group link on your blog of course, and track DRA Open and Event instead of DWO.  

Now, if you want a new digimon based on our new choosing methods, then that option is available to you.  Just submit your 5-10 digimon, and we’ll choose a new one for you.  You can also change your crest, since our list is different.  Some crests have been removed, so if your character has one of these missing crests and you really want to keep it, let us know and we’ll add it to the list.  We’re also open to new crest suggestions, so if you have any of those feel free to send them in.

The other mod will be taking care of advertising the new group later today, but the ask box and submissions are open now if you want to get started early.

I think of this as all of our group, so before making any posts or anything I wanted to leave a link to give everyone an opportunity to check it out and give us any suggestions on how to improve it.  Or if we're missing something.  Since I have no idea what I'm doing.

But yeah.  Hopefully it'll be all ready to go tomorrow.

Indeed it does (I also heard the original season is going to be on Nickelodeon now!). This is the thing I like most about roleplaying in groups. You get the opportunity to make good friends and we stick together in times like this. If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask~ Modding for the first time can be a little daunting, but it gets easier as it goes on. c:

Digimon brings people together.  This group was the first one I joined, and I've never even thought about being a mod for one.  So I have no idea what I'm doing, but hopefully it's up soon?

Revenge of the digimon! || Jude, Milly & Bastien

Waking up from her deep slumber, Milly noticed Palmon still sleeping peacefully next to her. “Mm,” she groaned tiredly as she sat up, rubbing her eyes with one hand and reaching for her hat with the other. “What time is it?” She mumbled, eyes half open. When she didn’t receive an answer, she tried opening her eyes up more but she could barely see a thing. Uncomfortable ground and tiredness didn’t mix well at all. “Jude?” She called out tiredly as she rubbed her eyes once again thinking they’d adjust faster if she did so. “Juuuude,” she tried again but only ended up with the same result.

After a few seconds of constant blinking, Milly looked around and figured she still couldn’t see right. Besides her and Palmon, the shack was empty. She stared at the emptiness blankly not understanding what was going on. She could’ve sword everyone was here when she fell asleep. “Palmon,” she shook her partner trying to awaken her not able to comprehend much right now.

“What do you want?” Palmon groaned, not all too happy with the rude awakening. Figuring it was an emergency, she quickly sat up next to her partner, arms raised, “What is it, where is it?” She quickly questioned only to find…nothing. “Milly, why did you wake me up when there’s nothing going on?”

“Bastien and Jude aren’t here…,” Milly stood up deciding to look outside of the shack. Maybe they were making breakfast or something. She didn’t want to believe that Bastien already left them but that wouldn’t explain why Jude wasn’t there either. Jude wouldn’t just leave her all on her own. “Palmon, they’re not out here either. Where did they go?” She questioned with a frown.

Jude woke up with a groan eyeing his feet. His feet? Trying to get up from his laying position, he quickly realized he wasn’t laying down anymore and he certainly wasn’t laying down on the sandy ground. What the? Trying to get up from his spot, he also was also able to figure out that he was bounded. Well this was just great. Although, he could feel some skin against his arm and some…hair? Trying to twist his head around, he noticed a head of white hair and frowned. Bastien? “Hey kid, wake up,” he started, nudging the sleeping white head with his back.

Sébastien grumbled and opened one of his eyes.  ". . . you manage to sleep through all of this, but you wake up when I finally fall asleep," he sighed.  He really should have seen that coming.  Falling asleep at all had probably been pointless.  He was a light sleeper, so he had woken up when they were first grabbed.  There wasn't anything he could have done about it though.  

"Well, as you can tell, we're tied up and the digimon are in a cage.  So unless yours can squeeze through the bars then we're pretty screwed," he explained, assuming that Jude was probably going to ask about this next.  "Oh, and the Gazimon didn't take your sister."

Freaking perfect though.  She stops the fight and makes them leave the Gazimon there, which of course ended up with them tracking them down for revenge.  All she managed to do was screw over everyone else.  If he made it out of here he was definitely going off on his own.  Apparently that would be much safer.

Coronamon was keeping quiet, since the Gazimon had said that if he didn't shut up, they would hurt Bastien.  So he was keeping his mouth shut.  There wasn't really anything he could do in this cage.  He could shoot his fire through the bars and maybe burn the ropes off of them, but that would probably end up catching their clothes on fire so that wasn't really an option.

Destined Encounters | | Bastien & Kaoru

Tilting her head slightly, Kaoru’s eyes widened a bit, it was rather obvious to see how Sébastien wasn’t a person of many words. But seeing his reactions were certainly far more amusing than what she could expect, so this time she simply smiled instead of saying anything else.

“Haaah…it makes it seem as if it were two people” Moonmon said while her head was starting to spin Sunmon’s statement around. It even made the digimon to begin feel dizzy about it.

“Let’s keep it with just Kaoru okay? Don’t force yourself” the girl said softly while patting her digimon’s head slightly, feeling almost pity for confusing her so soon, and so easily. At least they were even now, while it can be confusing this whole Digital World thing now the digimons were confused about the two names subject.

“Okay, and Sunmon’s right! Besides humans are weirder than I thought, two names? That’s just odd” Moonmon added firmly trying to hide her confusion away, after all it didn’t really matter.

There was a short silence for a moment and it started to alarm for a moment at the young girl. “Now that I think about it, I haven’t take a look around at all. Maybe you can show me Moonmon! And maybe you two won’t mind to join us?” Kaoru suggested from excited to shyly as she turned to the boys near them. Probably they got some other plans already and she wouldn’t like to interfere either.

Sébastien sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he considered this.  He really didn't want to.  In fact, he hadn't even wanted to come over here, but Sunmon had been insistent and catching things on fire so he hadn't had a choice.  Now, some people would think something like 'ooh, can't leave the girl alone'.  He thought that that was total bs.  She did seem to be younger than him though, which was a problem.  

"Bastien, Bastien!  Let's go with them!  It'll be fun!  The more the merrier, right," Sunmon asked as he floated in circles around his partner.  More people was definitely more fun.

". . . doesn't sound like fun to me," Sébastien sighed, trying to come up with some way to get out of this without seeming like a complete jerk.  Even though he was a jerk.  But a jerk that left someone younger than him alone in a potentially dangerous world?  If he thought of this as a dream he could get away with it, but if it wasn't then he was an asshole.

Sunmon puffed his cheeks out.  "Baaaastieeeen.  Come ooooon.  It'll be fun, truuuust me."

"Are you absolutely sure you want us to join you," Sébastien asked Kaoru, internally praying that she'd say no so he had an out.  But based on what she'd said so far, he didn't have much hope.

Eeeeeh.  I'll try to reply to things if I get them, but there won't be many of those for awhile so eh.  Gonna slack off.

Destined Encounters | | Bastien & Kaoru

“And you were right!” Moonmon replied with a gentle smile, while the digimon was starting to feel lonely at some point she never stopped waiting for her new friend’s arrival.

The brunette turned her gaze towards the baby digimons as they spoke. So this arrivals and encounters weren’t just mere coincidence, but something far beyond. The thought of it simply thrilled her as much as it intimidated her as well.“Then you must have very caring friends” Kaoru said trying to hold her laughter due the blank gaze directed towards her.

An embarrassed blush appeared on the girl’s cheeks as she realized the confusion in their eyes, even her digimon was confused now and curiosity was written all over her face.

“Ah, sorry, is just that back home when I meet someone they adress me by my last name, Suzuki. And when is someone with enough trust like a familiar or even a friend they call me by my name, Kaoru. Since I moved there a few years ago at first it was confusing as well, but is easy to adapt to it” the girl explained carefully not wanting to make it any worst.

Sébastien's expression softened slightly at the mention of his friends, though it was difficult to notice.  ". . . they are," he stated simply, leaving it at that.  Very caring friends who were going to freak out if he really was in some other world and not dreaming.  While he thought life was pretty boring and wouldn't mind staying in this world for awhile, he also didn't want to worry them.  So troublesome.

"Oooooh.  People have two names?  I didn't know that!  So you're Suzuki and Kaoru," Sunmon asked, taking in this new information.  "Bastien, Bastien!  What's your other name?"

"Doesn't matter.  We don't use last names where I'm from.  Unless there's a mister or miss in front of it," Sébastien answered.  Seriously, who just used last names?  The only time he'd heard that done was when people were trying to threaten someone.  But in everyday conversation?  That was just weird.

Sunmon quickly went back to looking confused.  "Mister or miss?  Eeeeh . . . yeah, I'm just gonna stick with Bastien and Kaoru!  That's much easier!"  People were really confusing with their names.  Why didn't they just stick with one?

"Do whatever you want," Sébastien replied with a bored tone.  He really wasn't the stand-around-and-chat type.  Maybe just walking away would be too rude.  But if this conversation lasted much longer he'd probably do it anyway.

Not-So-Scary Older Brothers || Bastien, Milly & Jude

“They need us to digivolve silly,” Milly confirmed what Coronamon had said, “They can fight for a while but without us, they can’t digivolve to their next forms. If they have next forms anyways.” She shrugged then followed her brother into the small shack. “Just like we need them to protect us. We need each other.”

“Right,” Palmon nodded at Milly following into their sleeping place, “I’m going to be dreaming about our adventures tomorrow. Maybe Bastien and Coronamon will stay longer with us,” she whispered the last part to Milly who replied with a grin and nod.

Jude sat on the sandy ground with a sigh, “It’s been a long day,” he muttered running a hand through his hair. He started wondering what Lorena was doing right now. They were just about to sleep and she was probably sitting by the phone all freaked out waiting for one of them to call about their whereabouts. He really wished there was some way to communicate with her.

Falling onto her back, Milly rested her head against the sand and sighed happily, “Finally some rest,” she adjusted her hat under her head even though it didn’t provide much comfort.  “I kind of miss my bed though,” Milly mumbled more to herself than to the others.

Sébastien sat down in a corner, as far away from the other two as he could.    He was probably going to go off on his own tomorrow.  Their ways of thinking were too different, so there was no point in sticking together.  He wouldn't be able to turn up the volume on his music loud enough to drown out their talking without damaging his ears.  

Coronamon flopped down beside his partner, dimming the fire on his head so as not to burn him.  "Are you going to be dreaming about our adventures tomorrow, Baaaastien," he asked, already knowing the answer.

"Don't be stupid," Sébastien mumbled, starting to tune out everything around him.  At least his mother wouldn't be home for awhile, so she wouldn't be freaking out right now.  Hopefully none of his friends would come over for a visit, or call to ask for help for something.  If they found out he was missing . . . he wasn't in a hurry to go back, but if he found a way to he would take it.

"I'm nooot being stupid.  Are you home sick," Coronamon asked, not able to keep quiet since he wasn't tired yet.  

"Nope.  If I don't wake up in bed tomorrow, then I will need to get back soon-ish.  Wouldn't want anyone thinking I'm dead," Sébastien replied, keeping his voice quiet.  How was he supposed to explain where he was, anyway?  Ah well.  He could worry about that later.

Not-So-Scary Older Brothers || Bastien, Milly & Jude

Before Milly could ask any more questions, Jude cut her off announcing their arrival at the shack. Kudamon had gone ahead to make sure the coast was clear as Jude turned to the other two, “Let’s wait here until Kudamon gets back,” he instructed.

“Shouldn’t you be with him?” Milly asked as she tried to stifle a yawn, “He’s your digimon. If something happens, he needs you.” She pointed out then began adjusting her hat, “That’s why we should stick by their side forever,” she nodded to herself.

“Milly, he’s right there. If anything happens, I’ll know,” Jude frowned at her suggestion guessing she was just sleeping and didn’t know what she was saying right now. How Bastien put up with her for that long? He had no clue. Him putting up with her was one thing since he had put up with it for a very long time but a random stranger? That was a different story. He praised the guy for being able to do it. Not that Milly was too much to handle but with Bastien’s uninterested personality and Milly’s enthusiastic energy, it was hard to imagine.

Failing to adjust her hat properly, Milly decided to just pull it off and allowed the cap to dangle from her hand, “I still think you should stay with him,” she looked up at him with her eyes half open. She didn’t know how she got tired all of a sudden but it just hit her like a wave. “You’ll feel bad if something happens to him.”

“Everything’s fine,” Kudamon interrupted her as he climbed back onto Jude’s shoulder, “You all should be safe for the night to sleep there. It might be uncomfortable but it’s the only place nearby that we came across by.”

Palmon grabbed Milly’s free hand and began tugging, “Come on Milly, let’s go get some sleep so we can start our adventures together tomorrow!”

Sébastien rolled his eyes at Milly's comments.  Seriously, what was she even going on about?  "Except that they were all just fine before we got here, and that was when they were small little things.  Pretty sure they're much stronger than we are, and that we'd just get in the way if we stayed too close," he commented, not looking away from the screen of his ipod.  

"I need you, Bastien!  You help me digivolve!  But I don't want you putting yourself in danger . . . you don't need to worry about protecting me," Coronamon added.  Though it was hard to imagine Bastien running into the middle of a fight to protect him like Milly had done for Palmon.  He was a lot more reliable than he seemed though, so it wasn't impossible.  

Sébastien nodded slightly to himself.  That was what he had thought.  Maybe they were able to make them stronger faster or something, but it was possible for them to digivolve on their own.  Whatever they were here for, it was definitely not to protect these guys.  Milly was either a complete idiot, or very full of herself thinking things like that.  Either way, she was probably going to end up getting hurt.  Or killed.

"Don't need to worry about that.  If this isn't a dream, then I'm in no hurry to get myself killed is some strange world," Sébastien replied as he headed to the shack.  He wasn't in any hurry to get back home either, but he would have to eventually.  Or certain people would kill him.

Not-So-Scary Older Brothers || Bastien, Milly & Jude

“Concerts sound fun!” Milly grinned, “I’ve never been to a concert before but I heard they’re really really fun.” Now an image of Bastien jumping around at the singing appeared in her mind and laugh escaped her lips. She was sure Bastien was a bit more open with his friends as opposed to her and her brother. “Concerts are places where they play loud music,” she answered Palmon’s raised arm knowing exactly that was what she wanted to know.

Palmon’s arm moved to the back of her head, smiling sheepishly, “Thanks Milly. You sure have a lot of different things on earth. We don’t have any of that stuff here. I want to come with you to earth and go to a concert!” She decided excitedly.

“Well I’d love to have you come home with me. I’m sure Lorena would just love you…as long as she doesn’t think you’re some type of rare plant and decides to cook you,” Milly went down to her knees to pat Palmon’s head with a mocking serious expression plastered on her face. “She loves to cook you know.”

“Keep up you two,” Jude repeated, looking over his shoulder, “We’re almost there.” He didn’t want to mention that if they did go home then the digimon wouldn’t be coming with them. They wouldn’t be able to come to earth. If someone saw them? How would they even begin explaining what they were?

“Maybe there’s an outlet in the shack,” Milly suggested as she went back on her feet, “Hey, maybe this thing has music programmed into it.” Taking out her digivice, Milly stared at it for a few seconds wondering what this thing exactly did. It had vibrated in her pocket when Tanemon digivolved but other than that, she had no idea what it did.

Sébastien nodded a bit.  "Yeah, I guess they're fun enough.  We usually go to one every weekend.  Sometimes I don't show up, though."  Like, if he didn't wake up, this weekend.  Which was lame, since he actually liked the band for this weekend.  Ah well.  Not much he could do about it.

"Hey Bastien!  Can I come home with you, too?  I wanna meet your, um . . . mother?  Yeah!  And your friends!  Can I, can I," Coronamon asked excitedly.  He wouldn't mind Bastien going home if he could come with him.

"Oh, uuh . . . actually, my mother would probably think that you're cute.  She has weird tastes," Sébastien replied as he tried to imagine what would happen if he brought home a fire lion.  His mother was weird enough that she'd probably just go along with it.  Which annoyed him for some reason.

Sébastien sighed and took out his ipod, staring at the screen.  Maybe he should have stuck with his discman instead of upgrading to this.  But that probably wouldn't have worked any better.  So annoying.  He tried turning it on, not expecting anything to happen, but his eyes widened when it turned on.  That was weird.  It said the battery was drained, but it was still on.  He put one of his earbuds to see if it still played music, and amazingly enough it did.  For now anyway.

"Bastien, Bastien.  What're you doing with that," Coronamon asked, head tilted to the side curiously.  

"I'm enjoying my good luck while it lasts," Sébastien replied as he scrolled through his songs, making sure everything was still there.  Everything seemed to be fine, except for the fact that it said the battery was empty.  Well, as long as it played music, he didn't care about that.
