Sébastien sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he considered this. He really didn’t want to. In fact, he hadn’t even wanted to come over here, but Sunmon had been insistent and catching things on fire so he hadn’t had a choice. Now, some people would think something like ‘ooh, can’t leave the girl alone’. He thought that that was total bs. She did seem to be younger than him though, which was a problem.

“Bastien, Bastien! Let’s go with them! It’ll be fun! The more the merrier, right,” Sunmon asked as he floated in circles around his partner. More people was definitely more fun.

“… doesn’t sound like fun to me,” Sébastien sighed, trying to come up with some way to get out of this without seeming like a complete jerk. Even though he was a jerk. But a jerk that left someone younger than him alone in a potentially dangerous world? If he thought of this as a dream he could get away with it, but if it wasn’t then he was an asshole.

Sunmon puffed his cheeks out. ”Baaaastieeeen. Come ooooon. It’ll be fun, truuuust me.”

“Are you absolutely sure you want us to join you,” Sébastien asked Kaoru, internally praying that she’d say no so he had an out. But based on what she’d said so far, he didn’t have much hope.

Both, girl and respective digimon partner seem enthusiastic by seeing Sunmon's reaction, the brunette even clapped for the floating digimon. Moonmon started to give little jumps once again wishing to float as well just to know how it felt like. Although emerald eyes set upon the boy as he spoke, while being troubled in his mind.

Kaoru tilted her head slightly as she laid down her hands, the silver haired didn't seem as excited as his digimon. It was then when she started to doubt, maybe it was a bad idea, besides she didn't wanted to cause him any other trouble than the one they were facing in that moment.

"Kaoru and I don't mind company at all. It is said that is funnier when there are more people joining." Moonmon said gently while turning to the other boy less shy than before.

The girl turned to her partner before she met icy eyes, "It was a suggestion, you can easily take it or not. Either way, we both will respect it..." she stated turning her voice a bit softer. While the idea of joining in this world with more people did was intimidating and exciting, the brunette wasn't the kind to force anyone to come.

Besides maybe he got something else to do, and if he denied that didn't mean they weren't going to meet once again right? She shook her head slightly and changed her saddened expression into a more reassuring one as she added, "I wouldn't like it if you force yourself to take a decision you might regret, and it would be understandable." she said with a more cheering voice.

Well I really didn't see this coming...I have never come to the point in where a group is actually closed, and I guess I'm as confused and sad like everyone around. While the idea of joining all in a new group following this one's steps does sound good and am up for it (since it really seem to have a lot of potential). But I suppose that until then Kaoru will simply be open if anyone's interested too.

Sébastien’s expression softened slightly at the mention of his friends, though it was difficult to notice. ”… they are,” he stated simply, leaving it at that. Very caring friends who were going to freak out if he really was in some other world and not dreaming. While he thought life was pretty boring and wouldn’t mind staying in this world for awhile, he also didn’t want to worry them. So troublesome.

“Oooooh. People have two names? I didn’t know that! So you’re Suzuki and Kaoru,” Sunmon asked, taking in this new information. ”Bastien, Bastien! What’s your other name?”

“Doesn’t matter. We don’t use last names where I’m from. Unless there’s a mister or miss in front of it,” Sébastien answered. Seriously, who just used last names? The only time he’d heard that done was when people were trying to threaten someone. But in everyday conversation? That was just weird.

Sunmon quickly went back to looking confused. ”Mister or miss? Eeeeh … yeah, I’m just gonna stick with Bastien and Kaoru! That’s much easier!” People were really confusing with their names. Why didn’t they just stick with one?

“Do whatever you want,” Sébastien replied with a bored tone. He really wasn’t the stand-around-and-chat type. Maybe just walking away would be too rude. But if this conversation lasted much longer he’d probably do it anyway.

Tilting her head slightly, Kaoru's eyes widened a bit, it was rather obvious to see how Sébastien wasn't a person of many words. But seeing his reactions were certainly far more amusing than what she could expect, so this time she simply smiled instead of saying anything else.

"Haaah...it makes it seem as if it were two people" Moonmon said while her head was starting to spin Sunmon's statement around. It even made the digimon to begin feel dizzy about it.

"Let's keep it with just Kaoru okay? Don't force yourself" the girl said softly while patting her digimon's head slightly, feeling almost pity for confusing her so soon, and so easily. At least they were even now, while it can be confusing this whole Digital World thing now the digimons were confused about the two names subject.

"Okay, and Sunmon's right! Besides humans are weirder than I thought, two names? That's just odd" Moonmon added firmly trying to hide her confusion away, after all it didn't really matter.

There was a short silence for a moment and it started to alarm for a moment at the young girl. "Now that I think about it, I haven't take a look around at all. Maybe you can show me Moonmon! And maybe you two won't mind to join us?" Kaoru suggested from excited to shyly as she turned to the boys near them. Probably they got some other plans already and she wouldn't like to interfere either.

“Well, of course we found them! Bastien took his time, but I knew he’d show up eventually,” Sunmon replied cheerfully. He hadn’t been worried for one second. Well, maybe for one second. But no more than five seconds!

Sébastien sighed and shook his head. So the reason why he was here was some kind of destiny thing, and Sunmon and known he would end up here? That was just weird. He was distracted from his thoughts by Kaoru’s strange statement. ”Uuh, I never asked anyone to call me Bastien. It just kind of happened,” he replied, looking at her blankly. Why would he ever ask anyone to call him that?

Before he could spend much time being confused by that, her exchange with her partner left him feeling even more confused. Was her name not Kaoru? What else were they supposed to call her? Was this some kind of weird culture thing he didn’t know about. ”Right … well, I had assumed that Kaoru was your name. Are we not supposed to call you that?”

“Eeeeh, you have a different name? I think I’m just gonna call you Kaoru. Unless you don’t like it. I’m confused now,” Sunmon said, still managing to sound cheerful around his whining.

"And you were right!" Moonmon replied with a gentle smile, while the digimon was starting to feel lonely at some point she never stopped waiting for her new friend's arrival.

The brunette turned her gaze towards the baby digimons as they spoke. So this arrivals and encounters weren't just mere coincidence, but something far beyond. The thought of it simply thrilled her as much as it intimidated her as well."Then you must have very caring friends" Kaoru said trying to hold her laughter due the blank gaze directed towards her.

An embarrassed blush appeared on the girl's cheeks as she realized the confusion in their eyes, even her digimon was confused now and curiosity was written all over her face.

"Ah, sorry, is just that back home when I meet someone they adress me by my last name, Suzuki. And when is someone with enough trust like a familiar or even a friend they call me by my name, Kaoru. Since I moved there a few years ago at first it was confusing as well, but is easy to adapt to it" the girl explained carefully not wanting to make it any worst.

“She makes a good point. If we’re going to refer to them as our digimon, then it’s only fair for them to do the same to us,” Sébastien commented, crossing his arms. “Of course, I don’t consider this sun thing mine. He just follows me around.”

“Well, I don’t beeeelooong to you. But we are partners. So I’d say you’re my partner, not my human. It’s completely different,” Sunmon replied. ”But you can call Kaoru your human if you want to, Moonmon.”

Sébastien seemed to be a bit surprised by the question. ”Huh? Well, I guess not. Usually only my friends call me that, but it doesn’t really matter.” Sunmon hadn’t used his full name once since he’d gotten here, so he’d ruined the only friends thing pretty quickly.

“Yeah, Bastien doesn’t mind at all! He hasn’t gotten mad at me for calling him that, so you have nothing to worry about,” Sunmon added. That was a strange thing to worry about. Obviously Bastien didn’t mind, since he’d been calling him that all day.

Sunmon clearly had some work to do if his partner was that stubborn, but of course, many great friendships didn't always started with the right foot. deep in her thoughts the girl was glad that if there were humans around that they were accompanied with a partner of this world, even if some of them seemed to argue.

Moonmon in the other hand was excited for being allowed to call her partner as her human, and didn't hesitate on showing it with little jumps, "Partners! Partners! We finally found them Sunmon!" while Moonmon just met the little sun it wasn't surprise for digimons to be waiting for that someone they felt would come in time, and some used to wait far longer than they should.

Kaoru thought for a moment about it, maybe it would be more respectful to call him by his full name, after all he did said to be used by being called that way by his friends.

In the end she denied with her head and added with a gentle gaze, "Then I'll call you Sébastien until the day where you ask me to call you Bastien comes. Because that way I will know that you consider me a friend and not just because it doesn't really matter." she explained calmly almost impatient for that day she was hoping to come. "Ah but you both are free to call me Kaoru, Moonmon seems to be used at it already"

A blush appeared on the teardrop like digimon as she was exposed by her now partner so quickly, she puffed her cheeks as she tried to look away shyly, "Oh, you said it was alright" she whispered as a poor defence.

Thinking that she was all alone in this new world she was quite surprised to find such a large group of people at the same time. Yeah maybe one or two but this many? it just didn’t make any sense to her, she had been here for about 3 days now and she hadn’t found anyone and then suddenly this, … ‘Maybe it’s a trap of some sort? ….. But it could just be a coincident that we all ended up here at the same time …’ Her thoughts trailed off as she remembered that she should probably introduce herself to these many new faces. “um… H-hi, it’s nice to meet you … I’m Yuuki … who might you be? …” A warm smile soon appeared on her face before she looked down to Tentomon to see if he knew any of these people, but all she got from him was a slight shrug ‘So I guess Tentomon doesn’t know anyone here … oh well.’ Looking back up to the other humans still with her smile on her face.

Both Kaoru and Moonmon heard something nearby and decided to take a look around, hopefully they won't be facing any other awkward-kind of digimon and wouldn't get into any kind of trouble. Once they found their way the girl widened her eyes by seeing another human around, a bright smile appeared on her face and turned to Moonmon to see her reaction.

Both girl and digimon walked towards the hazel eyed and listened to her, it was nice to meet more people who were on the same situation as ferself. "It is nice to meet you too Yuuki, I'm Kaoru and this is Moonmon" the girl introduced and pointed out at the baby teardrop-like digimon who nodded as a greeting.

Hide and Seek | | Katsuro & Kaoru

It had been a far longer walk than predicted, and a certain emerald eyed girl was sure that there was a bush and a tree they had probably passed already twice. "Are you sure is this way Moonmon?" Kaoru asked with a wary look at her surroundings, maybe it would've been better to stick to the first person she met a few moments ago.

"Of course I am! I may be on my Training form but I'm still aware of my surroundings. How rude!" Moonmon replied with a slight frown feeling a bit offended by such comment.

"Ah, I'm sorry is just I'm still quite intimidated that's all" Kaoru apologized while raising her hands, and it didn't took long for the baby digimon to accept said apology. The girl kept following the baby digimon when a soda machine caught her attention, in fact, there were too many soda machines it was almost unbelievable.

"Wait, look at this!" the girl said with a bright smile, "Maybe we can get something to drink first!" she suggested but Moonmon seemed unsure about it, "I don't know Kaoru, the more we walk the faster we get there"

"Ah don't worry, it will be just one drink, and I promise to get you one, look, how lucky!" the girl said when showing up a coin that was on one of her pockets. While waiting for the drink she noticed it didn't came, instead a strange, slimy and green crowd of digimons began to come out from the machine.

"Numemons" Moonmon explained once her partner was at her side, "Never bother one of them"

"Eh? Why not?" Kaoru asked getting scared already when the digimons began to attack with their Nume-Sludge. Making both females alarm and began to run away.

"Because of that!" Moonmon screamed while running back to the forest with a crying Kaoru at her side, and a crowd of angry Numemons at their back.

While taking back her breath, the girl couldn't help but scream again and when they turned deep into the forest both girl and partner tripped against someone. Kaoru even felt herself lifting in the air for a second, but when turning her gaze she looked upon another human with another digimon partner, "S-sorry!"

Sad and lonely, huh? Sébastien scratched the back of his head as he thought about this. Probably not for him. He didn’t really get lonely. Even though he had a few friends, he still spent a lot of time alone. He didn’t hate having company or anything like that. It was just exhausting, and he needed breaks a lot.

“I don’t know. I don’t think it’d be that bad. But I’ve never had a problem with being alone,” he answered bluntly. He could understand where she was coming from, but he just didn’t think that way.

Sunmon floated over to his partner, smiling brightly. ”It might not be that bad, as long as you don’t get attacked by something. You might get hurt if I left you alone so you’re stuck with me.”

“Wonderful,” Sébastien sighed, shaking his head. Though it actually wouldn’t be all that bad if his ipod was working. At least then he’d be able to drown out the chattering when he really needed some time to think. But it didn’t seem to want to turn on, which was annoying.

Sunmon smiled cheerfully at the other digitestined and her partner. It was nice that they could cuddle like that. But even without the whole burning thing, Bastien wouldn’t want to cuddle with him. He definitely wasn’t a cuddly person.

Not that bad. It was true, she knew how calm and nice it felt being alone sometimes, no one there to hurt you, even though his reasons could be very different than hers. She still believed in the situation they were standing being alone wasn't really the best option though.

Both Kaoru and Moonmon couldn't help but laugh for the sarcasm coming from the boy and yet the digimon didn't seem to lose any of his enthusiasm. "Your human is very funny" Moonmon said between giggles while fighting the urge of jumping considering she was still surrounded by the girl's arms.

"Your human? We're not things" Kaoru said while trying to control her own laughter.

"Well you call us your digimons, doesn't it work the same way?" the clueless Moonmon asked getting confused herself.

"Never mind it" the brunette replied between some more laughter making the poor baby Moonmon turned to both Sébastien and Sunmon with a confused look.

By now the emerald eyes finally released her digimon, making her jump a few times to get to see the best view from everyone. "You're quite some characters, that includes you Bastien. Uh, you don't mind if I call you that way, do you?" the girl said quite cheerfully for a moment before starting to get worried once again.

Sébastien shrugged, crossing his arms as he watched Sunmon and Moonmon. ”Well, he catches leaves on fire a lot. If you avoid the fire on his head, you’ll probably just get a minor burn. It’s still a burn though, so I wouldn’t recommend it.”

Sunmon grinned sheepishly. ”Yeah … when I digivolve I bet I’ll be able to control it better! I can’t do much about it now though. Sorry~” he said, not sounding all that sorry at all.

“He’d be useful if it was cold. A floating heater. It’s not that helpful in a jungle though,” Sébastien commented, still watching the two digimon. They were kind of cute, if you liked that kind of thing. Though he still couldn’t figure out what Moonmon was supposed to look like. She kind of looked like a water droplet or something. Definitely not a moon.

“I bet you’ll be cold one day! And when you are, you’ll be glad to have me around, won’t you?” Sunmon of course knew that wasn’t something Bastien would admit now, if ever, but what were partners for if not to tease?

Sébastien sighed and shook his head. ”Maybe. I think I’d rather have a heater that doesn’t talk so much, though.” That definitely wasn’t going to happen. He was pretty sure that Sunmon didn’t know how to be quiet. If he did, then he chose to ignore this knowledge.

Moonmon widened her eyes by hearing Bastien and jumped a few steps away from Sunmon fearing for getting burned by accident."I changed my mind I don't mind a little of fresh air" the digimon said while jumping around hoping to get a bit colder.

Digivolve? Another word to add to the dictionary, hearing everyone was getting quite confusing again, she was barely starting to get used by terms as digimon and Digital World, but there was not time to give up so easily when everything was just beginning.

"I don't see talking too much as a bad thing" Kaoru dared to interfere, "I know I haven't been here for not even an hour, but if I didn't had someone to speak to, or even listen I would feel very lonely, and sad. Specially when we're on a strange place." she added while turning her gaze at the ground and eventually finding Moonmon's one.

Kaoru smiled back at her partner and walked to carry her on her arms and tickle her slightly.

"Is understandable, the want or need of having a peaceful moment I mean. You've been around for an hour or more, meet complete strangers, but if you think about it... if you weren't gifted with this new and funny friends. Who knows what could happen to you? Don't you think?" she added finding the icy eyes of the snowy haired boy.

"Kaoru" Moonmon whispered while staring back at her human before trying to return her embrace.

Their greed didn’t know the meaning of mercy? Well that sounds wonderful. Sébastien sighed and ran his hand through his hair. What had he gotten himself into? Actually, he hadn’t even done anything to end up here. It just happened. If this really wasn’t a dream, he was going to be pissed.

Sébastien rolled his eyes at Kaoru’s comment that quiet people thought a lot. That was something he had heard before. People sometimes assumed that he was smart because he didn’t talk much. Which wasn’t true at all. He was actually pretty stupid, if his grades were any indication.

“No, I haven’t seen anything dangerous around here. Unless you’re scared of street signs,” Sébastien answered, pausing for a second as he considered something. ”And Sunmon. Since he can’t touch anything without catching it on fire. So try not to touch him.”

Sunmon puffed his cheeks out at his partner. ”Heeey, I’m not daaangerous,” he argued, sounding insulted, but he cheered up almost instantly. ”I don’t do it on purpose. It just kind of happens.”

“Right. I’m surprised you haven’t managed to burn the entire forest down,” Sébastien replied with a sigh.

“Baastien. Kaoru said I was sweet, and sweet digimon don’t burn down forests. You should pay more attention when someone’s talking,” Sunmon giggled and smiled at Kaoru. ”For someone who doesn’t talk a lot, you’d think he’d be a better listener.”

The brunette let go a sigh of relief followed by a confused look, "Street signs? Even the Digital World has them?" she said more amused and confused than before. Afterwards she looked feeling quite sorry for Sunmon, no being able to touch him? How lonely could that be?

A smile was form in Kaoru's features and couldn't help but to think how kind was the relationship between Sébastien and Sunmon, hopefully she would open up with her own digimon as time continued running. "Now don't say rude things you might make him feel bad later on" the girl said in a calm voice despise of the little scolding.

Moonmon in the other hand approached towards an arguing Sunmon, curiosity invading her, in fact she looked at both of his side and eventually she began to get comfortable and closed her eyes slowly, "Is warm near Sunmon though" she said quietly.

The girl looked alarm at her digimon, Bastien and Sunmon, wit an ashamed blush appearing in her cheeks, "Don't fall asleep now" she said almost in a hurry.

Moonmon looked upon her with a slight frown, "I'm not going to sleep. I was wondering if Sunmon really burn everything near him."

Placing both of her hands over her hips she simply denied with her head, "Isn't that kind of a risk? No offence Sunmon, I now know you don't do it in purpose!" she said while widening her eyes, the last thing she wanted to be was being rude, after all they were the first faces to meet so far.

“Sunmon made me follow him here. Said he heard something. I guess that something was you. If you mean here like this world, then hell if I know,” Sébastien answered unhelpfully. If she had really just gotten here, then she was taking this rather well. Was he the only person around here who thought this was absolutely insane and hopefully a dream? Ah whatever.

“We’ve just been walking around since Bastien got here. I’m not really sure where we’re going, but as long as I’m with Bastien then I don’t care,” Sunmon continued enthusiastically. ”I don’t really know if we’re supposed to be doing something right now or not … well, I’m sure we’ll figure it out!”

Sébastien sighed and scratched the back of his head. Well, at least the sun thing had stopped going on about beating bad guys, or whatever he had been saying before. Whatever that was supposed to have meant, he was positive he wanted nothing to do with it. Seriously, sucked into another world to save it from a great evil? That was so cliché. If that was really what was going on here, he was not going to play along.

Sunmon looked over at his anti-social partner, then smiled at Kaoru apologetically. ”Sorry about him. He doesn’t like talking very much. He’s really nice though! Yup. He just doesn’t seem like it.”

Nice? Him? Sébastien scoffed at this, but didn’t bother trying to argue. Sure, he wasn’t a total jerk or anything like that, but he wouldn’t call himself nice either. But the fact that the sun thing was delusional wasn’t exactly news. Well, if he wanted to keep lying to himself, he could go right ahead.

"I see, so we're on the same boat." Kaoru said while placing finger over her mouth thinking for a moment, her first thought was her mother, she must be very worried for her by now. The girl could simply hope for her sake, don't worry mother, I'll get back to you later, she thought for herself as if her thoughts were able to reach her.

"Supposed...to do something?" the girl asked after being brought back from her thoughts, "Yes, remember what I told you about some very dangerous digimons as well? Their greed doesn't know the meaning of mercy" Moonmon answered to her question feeling a bit worried herself for ger fellow digimon friends she hasn't met yet.

The girl felt sorry for a moment by seeing her partner's concern, of course she would help with anything if she had to, but everything seemed very frightening. And then Sunmon spoke again about his quiet friend, Moonmon simply smiled at them, while Kaoru couldn't help to giggle about it.

"That's not entirely a bad thing, I've heard the quiet ones tend to think in many things as well. But you're a very sweet and observant digimon as well, Sunmon" the girl said gently agreeing with the enthusiastic one.Moonmon couldn't help but feel a bit sad for such comment and Kaoru couldn't help but notice, "But you're even sweeter" she added while poking lightly at the baby digimon to light up her mood.

"Uh, excuse me?" Kaoru said shyly towards Bastien, "You haven't find any dangerous digimon around here, have you?"
