was not aware of that one fail cutscene in a way out where leo and vincent just miss the plane and now it’s got me thinking about a stranded au….. like i’ve read the fics about them in mexico but they never follow that specific premise……

some headcanons for this because i can:

my just overall headcanon for vincent is that he feels extreme guilt for lying to leo as the story progresses, so i think he would take this being stranded as being a sign he should admit the truth to leo.

if vincent does confess, it would end up in them separating (because leo would understandably be angry), but they likely end up coming back together after a bit because leo doesn't know how to fend for himself in the wilderness. he doesn't forgive vincent, but he needs him there.

branching off of the last hc, vincent is definitely more versed than leo when it comes survival skills, at least on pen and paper. i see him being someone who read up on emergency survival considering his enjoyment of camping when he was a kid, he just never found time to put those skills to use.

leo cares a lot about looking well-kept, so i could definitely see him cleaning up in rivers multiple times a day. i can also see that really agitating vincent.

vincent would probably teach leo how to hunt, considering they have the guns and leos good with one. but he'd have to teach leo how to slow down during it, which is probably hard considering how antsy leo is.

nights are probably GORGEOUS there but it could be hard to see the sky in the forest, so maybe they stargaze on the beach together and share one of the few cigarettes vincent has left from the pack he bought from the magazine vendor. leo probably knows a lot about constellations from stargazing with linda as a kid, so he teaches vincent.

i draw leo with a perma-sunburn, so i imagine him being used to the sun, but i see vincent as the opposite, not knowing when his body is overheating and needs to rest. i can imagine him overworking himself pretty often and leo having to tend to (and berate) him. leo would also definitely make fun of him if he got a matching sunburn.
