“i’ll always be okay with your career,” she said. “y’all have never cleaned up after your parties a day in your life, you make your fuckin’ pool boy do it,” she said. “let me also point out, christopher, that i officially own my house because i’ve been paying on it since i was eighteen years old. i don’t rent. i have no bills other than water and electricity. i also have a recording shed, so i know you’ll use and abuse it.”

"you dont have to give up your career if we have kids. i would never ask you to do that," she said. "its not his job. and you guys aren't gonna do that at my house, youre gonna clean up after yourselves."

“i couldn’t give that and i can’t ever stop writing. i have another song written up, but i am giving it to another band,” he shrugged and placed his guitar down. “jacob keeps them and then donates the clean ones. he’s not such a bad dude,” he smiled. “I do, but hey anything to see you smile. you guys can sleep in the damn living room. i’ll sleep in the bedroom.”

“you better not ever stop writing unless your hands give out,” she said. “he can donate bras, but he can’t donate his trash to the trash can,” she joked. “uh, no. because remember, if we move in together, you’re moving to my place, i have too much stuff to move and animals.”

“i’d never want it to,” she said. “yeah, you couldn’t even pay me to throw away a victoria’s secret anything. that shit’s pricey. sixty bucks for a bra? that shit better last me the rest of my damn life,” she said. “you just say that to butter me up,” she said with a small laugh. “you can’t lock us in, audrey and sophie have to pee like five times a night.”

i just got off a crazy shift at the hospital hence why i’m just barely a day late, but my ball of sunshine just turned twenty-two years and even though she hasn’t been a part of britt-britt’s and i’s lives for her whole life, we couldn’t be more happier to have been her mamas for the past decade. i’m so so proud of my talented and intelligent daughter and i can’t wait to see where life takes you by the time it’s your next birthday. even though i wasn’t able to celebrate it with you, i hope you had an amazing day <3
