As we all started studying online I think I can share some tips for you to stay calm, relaxed and productive.
But the first thing I want you to pay attention to is to ADMIT everything that is going on in your city, region, country and the world. We are all kind ofĀ āprisonersā in this situation and I just want you to know that this uncertain period was given to us to look deeply in ourselves, check your own state of mind and take everything that is best for you from all this āconfinementā. There were a lot of posts like this when it all started in spring but as it keeps holding us, I think it is so important to remind ourselves that though we canāt change the situation, weĀ can always change our attitude.Ā
So lets change together to finally have a healthy, mindful, calm and cozy life and routine. Education is still important so to avoid burnout, stress and anxiety here are dome tips for you! I personally use it everyday so I can vouch for them.
1. Keep your weekly study plan on your desk as near as possible. I stick it on the wall behind my desk so I always see what classes and extra things are going to take place this week (and month). I printed a month calendar with some free space in each day section so I wrote my classes and their time in each one (except weekends). This helps me to always stay tuned in terms of homework, study sessions, morning/night routine, etc. It also very useful to keep track of my homework, and this is the next tip.
2. Use a separate notebook for your homework. Using a planner is obvious bit Iām saying about special notebook. I have one half the size of a usual workbook. I dedicate one page to one week of classes and when the h/w pops out during the class I immediately write it in my notebook on the page where the deadline week/day is written. And yes - always keep this notebook nearby when youāre on the class.
3. Attending classes in your most comfy clothes like pajamas, etc. is very tempting but I insist on wearing something you were usually wearing when you attended classes offline. Iām not saying about dresses or skirts or anything that makes you feel uncomfortable but about clothes you kind of feel youāre ready to work. I usually wear pants (sports one more often because and donāt wear them as my home clothes) and sweater or a shirt. And donāt forget to wear warm and cozy socks :) It keeps me motivated as I donāt feel like homebody and all I want is to sleep, eat and watch YouTube.Ā
4. Waking up 5 mins before your class is also tempting but destructive. Did you have some classes when you felt most prepared and motivated to work doing the best you can? Iām sure you had! Donāt forget about this feeling and get up as early as you can so youāre sure youāre not sleepy, hungry and messy. Thatās really important!
5. And please, I ask you to have ENOUGH SLEEP! This is such an obvious thing and we all know how destructive the lack of sleep can be but we do nothing! NOW is the best time to adjust your sleep mode as you shouldnāt waste time moving from one place to another. Go to bed earlier than 12am, please, better - earlier than 11pm. Your body will thank ypu a lot.Ā
6. And donāt study in bed. Really. No comments needed.
7. Dedicate your weekend only for yourself. Try to do your homework during working days and you will see how pleasant your weekend can be. Spend it with your love, family and friends or/and donāt forget about your hobbies. Try drawing, dancing, needlework, reading - just all that makes you happy.Ā
If youāve read this till the end I hope you found something useful! Happiness, productivity, peacefulness depend only on us. This period wonāt last forever. Make sure you and your family are safe and healthy.Ā
been quite sick these days so couldnāt post anything pretty and motivational for obvious reasons. remember to always think about your health first!
oh and tooons of homework... so Iām half way through this situation. I managed to plan my time really properly so Iām almost done with assignments and almost ready for New Year! āļø
Finally little winter started āļø it was really snowy yesterday and how pleasant it was to study at home, put on my warm sweater, organise my space properly, make some hot tea while watching snow falling through the window. I had a great study session so my classes went good this morning.
want to have some more rest today and get back to study a bit later. āļø
always great to spend sunday doing something that your soul is asking for. I love sundays because I have time to do something that I donāt have energy to do during the working days. take a long shower, tidy up my room - bed, wardrobe, desk, etc., watch some videos I didnāt have time to watch before and finish my day with a book, making plans for the next week. have a good rest in bed is only thing left.
donāt know why my pic was downloaded this way (question to my computer ?) but I just wanted to say that distant education isnāt less intensive than a normal one. amount of homework & concentration problem & willing to accomplish everything are getting more and more complicated. but Iām trying not to worry and I always try to have time to rest properly. sooo...
donāt really like classes on Saturdays, but what to do? had 2 classes of history of public administration. grateful that this working week is finally over! now itās time for relax and self-care š
